It reminds me of the things that happen to the L sound in the English spoken in my part of the world and also in Brazilian Portuguese. (Braził, as they say).
I was about to post the same thing. In England many people say
hełth for
helth,
fyłm for
film,
skół for
school and
botół of myłk for
bottle of milk. I like the Polish £, but not when used in English by people too lazy to pronounce L.
