In this link there is a table with words from biczować. In the left hand colum in blue there are some letters, would you be able to tell me what these represent please? Thanks.

B, this is for the imperative as far as I know, what is the word in polish that this B is for?

(+b) E

(+b) G

H

J

e

(+b) j

I always wondered about that too.

If you just need all the conjugations listed for this particular word but in a more logical fashion, you can find them here:

my guess the letters are names of parts of the table - what they show online must be not the whole table that's why some letters are missing -

Thanks for your help, I tried inputed być and jechać into the above link but I got very little information back.

In the table I linked I recognise the normal conjugations but not others.
I am interested to know what they are. It would be a very useful table if I could understand what the letters stood for. I could look up the grammatical definition and explanation in English.

I think that this is sarcasm but in case it isn't I don't expect you to research anything, thanks. Someone else on the forum may know the answer without doing any research or I can ask someone else. Thanks. Eventually I will understand it anyway if I spend enough time on grammar.

This page has conjugations of lots of verbs including być. They, however, don't show up automatically. First you have to click "View tables" (in the case of "byc" it should be entry number 8.) Then a text like "Imperfective: być" will come up, and when you click on it, you get to see the table.

Not sure what the letters stand for (probably just subsequent sections index) but they contain:

B tryb rozkazujący (imperative)

E imiesłów przymiotnikowy bierny (passive adjectival participle)

G imiesłów przymotnikowy czynny (active adjectival participle)

H czas przeszły i tryb przypuszczający (past tense and conditional mood)

J czas teraźniejszy (present tense)

e forma bezosobowa (no idea what can be the English name for this, even the Polish one is not precise because sometimes it includes participles too.)

j rzeczownik odczasownikowy (gerund)

(ręcznie dopisane) imiesłów przysłówkowy współczesny (contemporary adverbial participle)

I am actually working on a dictionary which allows you both, to search words by their inflections and to see what the declension/conjugation of the word is.
You can find the word "biczować" here: biczować at gigadictionary.org and jechać here.

p.s. the dictionary can be improved by anyone who's interested so if any of you feels like would like to help, I will be more than glad to give you trusted user privileges.
