hi to all!
i am from wisconsin, usa. i am interested in the polish language and polish culture. i am 52 1/2 years old and have always liked languages but i don't know any polish (yet) other than a few slang words and phrases which i couldn't begin to spell in the polish alphabet. does anyone know of a good site where i can submit phonetically spelled words and find the translation? for example, (and my apologies to those with tender ears): Peepka Stoy-yay peas no neema. i would like to know the polish spelling of this phrase.
thanks!

"Pipka" is one of numerous Polish vulgar words for the female sexual organ, "cunt" - but it is also used just for "girl". The first part of the phase is probably "pipka, stój" = "girl, stop". The last word is probably "nie ma" = "there is/are not (any)" or "he/she/it does not have". "Jej", mentioned above, may mean "her" (possessive meaning or dative), and the whole phrase "jej nie ma" would mean "she is not here". But "jej" is also an exclamation similar to the English "geez"; it comes from "Jezus" the same as "geez" from "Jesus".

"Peas no" is hard to guess (it may even be "piz(d)ną" = "they will hit" in Silesian dialectal of Polish), especially that the sentence does not seem to be either grammatically correct or literary. It is rather vulgar, slang, and it is hard to say what it means unless you have a recording of it :-)

If "pipka" is a vulgar term then I'd like to know your opinion about the word "pizda" :/

Perhaps is być może. Prawdopodbnie is likely or probable

Actually Pipka is an acceptable word for the vulva and vagina, Cheepa (not sure how it is spelt) is a much more vulgar team for the same thing. Pizda quite simply means "cunt" and is often used just as a term of abuse --just like in England.

Cipa is how it is spelt. I think Czipa is chip (like a microchip).

Pipka is cute for some people but be careful, it could be used as an excuse to have a go at you.

pipka is not cute, it can be used if you are in close relationship with someone (if you adressing that person by "pipka")

if you say to the unknown woman "ty pipko", you will be in trouble (or at least she will think "what an asshole")

you can use it in the in-bed situation with your lady

Typical friggin Pole, you disagree for the sake of it and then go and contradict yourself. Siegfried, some women find it cute. What I said was spot on so don't go telling me that it ain't cute when it is for some.
