prewar warsaw book

hello all,

I am desperate to find a book that has some photographic record of this great city before the carnage inflicetd in WWII - can anyone advise please?

I've seen such books in a couple of book stores in poland but i can't remember any titles. Here's a website you could look though: www.stalus.iq.pl

You will find many such photos :-)
Ryszard M±czewski who runs the site would be able to give you a list of Warsaw photo books showing pre-war city.

Unfortunately ul. Pańska 28, is not on Ryszard's great site. It was not a building that had any architectural merit so wasn't photographed as a destination point of interest. Although I have a photo of ul. Pańska 28 from 1945 which shows it was pretty much destroyed during the Rising 1944. It was never rebuilt though a shiny office block now stands on our site.
