krysia 23 | 3,058 8 Dec 2006 / #2Parafia Św. Jana ChrzcicielaLubno 9136-065 Dynów, LubnoPolandI don't think you need to write Lubno again, but if that's the address they gave you, then maybe you should have it on there.
OP Koach 2 Jan 2007 / #3I forgot to thank you for your help. I sent it out a couple days after this post. I guess it's up to the priest, or whoever runs the church, to help if they plan to.
joseph kustra 13 Oct 2008 / #4You can write:PARAFIA RZYSKO KATOLICKALUBNO36-065 DYNOWwoj. PODKARPACKIEPOLANDP.S.Have a nice day, Joe
loco polaco 3 | 352 13 Oct 2008 / #5Parafia Św. Jana ChrzcicielaLubno 9136-065 Dynów, LubnoPolandgo with that one. it's also spelled correctly. btw. you don't put voyvodeship on the envelope.
polishgirltx 13 Oct 2008 / #6you don't put voyvodeship on the envelope.but you can... it doesn't hurt, you know...
Krzysztof 2 | 973 13 Oct 2008 / #7Off topic (since joseph kustra [Guest] digged up a thread almost 2 years old):but you can... it doesn't hurt, you know...it makes sense only when you don't know the ZIP code, otherwise is quite redundant. It's not off-topic if the replies are still relevant...
polishgirltx 13 Oct 2008 / #8it makes sense only when you don't know the ZIP code, otherwise is quite redundant.yes, but i want to let the foreigners to know that it's OK... not a big deal, but...:)
osiol 55 | 3,921 13 Oct 2008 / #10People like writing superfluous lines in the address because it makes them feel better about it, more secure in the knowledge that it will get there, or at least that they themselves know where it is supposed to be going.I like to addUKEuropeThe Western HemisphereThe Northern HemisphereThe Earthon my letters... that I write to myself.
allanio 13 Apr 2009 / #11Hey that's quite funny! There is some point to writing superfluous lines on the address label, because addresses are stored in a single place by most people, and are often communicated to their acquaintances, for both sending/receiving post and for visiting places. Thus, it's no harm to leave on the locality or region, even though it's not required in some cases. If it's left on an address, it helps those who use that address to navigate their way when visiting someone.
dat 2 | 62 17 Apr 2009 / #13If I want to add the neighborhood (dzielnica) to the address, where do I put it, before the address or at the end?street address, city, provinceneighborhoodorsome other variations?
Krzysztof 2 | 973 19 Apr 2009 / #14If I want to add the neighborhood (dzielnica) to the address,I don't think it's necessary, but it probably be like this:Sz.P. John Doeul. Roosevelta 124/3700-800 Warszawa-MokotówPoland / Polska
