Anybody attend the Madonna concert in Poland? Any comments?

Yeah, went yesterday. Good concert but very poorly organised. Not enough stewards to control the queues and many people were almost getting crushed because there was no crowd control when trying to get in. Once inside it was much better. Concert was a good spectacle and from where I was standing, the sound was excellent. Like her or not, she puts on a great show and most people seemed to enjoy themselves.

Some of the Polish news portals noted her vigour, stamina and acrobatic agility - amazing for a 51-year-old. Do you agree?

She was fifty when she played Warsaw. She's fifty-one today :)

She was awesome. She has some fantastic young dancers and she doesn't look out of place next to them. It wasn't a toned down performance either, she showed loads of energy and moved effortlessly. It is quite amazing when you think that despite turning 51 she can put on a pop performance that is just relentless. Even some of her slightly slower songs have been reworked and now have a much quicker tempo. Of course there was the odd slower number but in general, she kept the pace fast and frantic. All in all, a great show.

Around 80,000 gathered at Warsaw’s Bemowo Airport for the first concert of pop diva Madonna in Poland.

The concert at Warsaw’s Bemowo airport was part of the singer’s ‘Sticky & Sweet Tour’– it was the biggest event of its kind since the 1996 performance of the late king of pop, Michael Jackson. The two-hour multimedia show encompassed songs from the recent album Hard Candt, as well as the artist’s greatest hits.

I was hearing rumours of 100,000 - 110,000 people. T'was no where near that amount of people there! Saw loads of scummy ticket sellers (touts). I'm sure they would have punted their last tickets off cheap half hour before the show began when they realised there was no one biting.

Whenever I see or read something about Madonna I think of dirty underwear. I wouldn't pay 10 cents to see this vulgar overpriced exhibitionist. I did like her song, "La Isla Bonita" though.

I wouldn't care if she cared. I merely voiced my opinion based on her um, dubious entertainment qualities. How's that for being "realistic"?

She is just an entertainer, nothing more, she is not a good vocalist, she cannot write, etc, etc she is all about marketing, but what she is doing in her last 2 CD's, she just makes a fool of her self, trying to act like a teenage...she cannot pull it off anymore...!!!

Nothing amazing about that. You see 70 year olds jogging, running, swimming, riding horses in the US, not seen in Poland, because like mentioned above, they are afraid to act like teenagers. That's why Polish people look so old for their age because they don't exercise afraid of what others will think.

They do excercise these days.

I'm talking about older people exercising.
I did see some young guys running in a park once in Poland, but not elderly people.
