As many of you know my presence in Polska is due to falling in love with the place during long hard trips to Belarus to deliver aid to children suffering from the Chernobyl disaster...Later i was asked to help a childrens home in Lobez as well as the Markot organisation for the homeless , and this became a twice yearly project to bring truckloads of stuff for them....

Since moving to Poland i have pretty much had my hands full trying to survive , but i do still try to help other UK groups coming to Poland with aid , giving them free camping , making contacts , and making sure they don,t have any problems.....

However , the recent fire disaster in Poland is quite near to me in kms , as well as being something that has happened to a group of people that i have helped in the past , the homeless...

These people were already homeless and poor , and now the survivors have lost all of what little that had in a fire... There is not a lot i can do for the dead , but i feel i want to help those that have survived , despite my own limited means....

When i was in the UK i had no problems at all to fill a convoy of Landrovers with aid , and even several full sized Polish trucks , i had all the contacts , the money , and the means to collect all the aid , store it , and deliver it to Polska , but i am kinda a bit lost to get the same thing going in Poland...

I have spoken to the mayoress of my local town , and i have permission to hold a rock concert to raise some dosh for another cause , but this one is a bit more urgent , i ain,t asked my buddies who are in rock bands if they will play for free yet , but i reckon they will , and of course i need to find a place to store any aid till i can deliver it , and i need to get to the UK to get something started there , and collect my new Jeep cherokee to deliver the aid when and if i get any....

These poor people will have lost all that they have , probably jumped out of the window in their pyjamas and don,t even have a change of undies , so they will need everything i guess....

As i have no experiance of collecting aid in Poland i would be gratefull for any advice on how to go about it , i do have the help of Polish friends , but they have no experiance of this kind of thing....Finally , any ideas where i can get a big trailor for free to hook on the back of my Jreep......? thanks....

Must remember not to post after a few cans of Polish piwo..spotted a few typos in there , but i hope you will get the gist....

i don't think you know the impossible... you were the only person here, i'd expect to show your big heart in the situation...
