another proof that Poland is a confessional state

Prince: Don't worry about the teachers. i'm worry about the teachers. i worry because i know, that in most cases- it will be a catholic priests 'learning' them how to pray, asking what was on a speaking on mass and telling that 'atheists and Jews and .......... * are bad and will go to hell' - and they will do it for a texpayers money; with no control (about their learning program) from school (becouse, of course, they are independent from school; what will be teached depends only from catholic bishops) * please place here anyone who is not a catholic

Don't worry about shortage of the teachers. Nobody can't be forced to go on religion classes.

Nobody can't be forced to go on religion classes. 1. I'm afraid, its not firbiden. Priest can make a secular course and teach 'secular' ethic. 2. I'm afraid, every student will be forced to go or to catholicism lessons teached by catholic priests, or for 'secular ethic' lessons, teached mostly by catholic priests... of course they will be secular...* *but only when pigs start fly

Can't agree with ladykangaroo more! It isn't that important if the moral message is phrased religiously "Love your neighbour" or in secular terms -- "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". The major problem are the hordes of vicious, spoilt brats from 4 to 94 drowning the world in their selfish slime and taking their cues from Hollywood harlots, MTV mind-benders, slum-dwelling rappers and assorted sleazy celebs of our cheap, tacky and all-pervasive commercial pop culture, eagerly promoted round the clock by the sensation-seeking, scandal-mongering media. The family, the school, the cultural community, the churches, assorted community leaders and politicans HAVE ALL FAILED to shore up collapsing public ethical standards, because they all have their own, narrow, selfish interests at stake which they claim are more imporatnt. Throw Information Technology into the picture and we are fast becoming (or have already become) a world of technical titans and....moral midgets! And to think there are horse-blinkered souls who, while trudging through all the moral rot and sludge, are wondering whether ethics or relgion classes should be taught by lay teachers or priests, philosophers, sociologists, sexuologists or the school janitor...... But who cares. Let's all lighten up, chill out, light up a joint, ain't it great?!

The article in the link you provided is marked by one big question mark. Maybe, probably, allegedly etc etc. Can`t you see it is made as a form of an advertisement for some leftist group which uses the opportunity and expresses their objection to get a 5 minute fame in the media? Of course they can`t introduce such a law because it would be unconstitutional. ladykangaroo: Have you been in Polish school recently? The only thing you should be worried about the moral / ethic / religious education is the lack of any. Have you been to a British state school recently?? Polish state schools compared to British ones, not to mention American, are like heaven compared to hell. :):):)

OK, there are two gods, The God and the Mammon. Both are doing pretty well. The Mammon is real, God is only in the hearts. It depends if you concentrate on urban or rural America. However, they seem to complement each other: the conservative, religious, small town folks and the radical, f**k the religion urban dwellers.

Usually they will be terribly undereducated poor men and women who will be totally ridiculed by everyone in the class. As they already are. Bullied or ignored. Even by 10y.o. Have you been in Polish school recently? The only thing you should be worried about the moral / ethic / religious education is the lack of any.
