Hello, I'm doing a business research assignment about Polish culture when an Australian expatriate goes to Poland to work for a company.

Questions

What are the basic cultural norms? (standards)

What are the values?

What are the belief religion? percentage ex; like 98% Catholic?

What are the general attitudes towards work?

What is the role of family? ex; is the man dominant?

What are the dress standard for business type jobs ex; like America/UK?

How do you go about organizing an appointment with a colleague

What type of business entertainment is there? ex: colleague takes you to their house or restaurant? continuing - What to do and what not to do as a guest?

What is seen as offensive and what is considered not offensive from an Australian expatriate visiting in Poland?

Where was Poland in the past and now heading in the future? (economy wise)

If there's any more cultural issues and specific business cultural issues please elaborate!

Are you working for a company called Cartus as a cross cultural trainer?
Because these questions are typical themes raised upon during cross cultural seminars.
A lot of research is involved and normally these seminars are conducted by local trainers.
If you are not Polish yourself , it will be hard.

I'm not working for Cartus its just a university project thought it would be a great idea to get into the cultural issues for an international person going on a conference to Poland
