Does anyone know if Poland has a similar political party to the BNP. If so are they popular ??

There's no openly racist party in Poland (not really much need for it, Polish racists are welcome in most Polish political parties) but Samoobrona and the League of Polish Families ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samoobrona and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liga_Polskich_Rodzin) are pretty much up there when it comes to BNP race-hating, jew-baiting, gay-bashing intolerant bigot levels. Both made it into the government and helped make Poland the laughing stock of Europe (which was very very worrying: those things should not have been laughed at). My personal favour is the former youth wing of the League of Polish Families, the All-Polish Youth (a.k.a. the Giertych-Jungen). You've also got the Narodowe Odrodzenie Polski (NOP) (National Rebirth of Poland) with their logo that isn't at all inspired by the swastika, who are somewhat to the right of the Nazi party but in the 2005 Polish parliamentary elections, they got 0.06% of the vote.

I don't know much about BNP other than that they want Poles out of Britain. In that case I guess LPR would come the closest. They used to be in an infamous coalition with PIS but they brought on our country so much shame and controversies that in the last elections it didn't manage to gain even 3% of votes, so I doubt they will ever make a comeback.

You really think any fascist party in any country would actually do that openly? That would outlaw them immediately and give the authorities the chance to make them illegal and arrest them ad random. Unfortunately they have become a bit smarter over the last decade and are careful not to use too much violence openly. They somehow let strawmen do the dirty work. Because priests are human beings which means you cannot prevent the statistical idiot happening among them. TheOther: Why is the Polish catholic church tolerating those priests? Because the Church as such, not the Polish one rarely excomunicates people and even thats for serious offence, having politically or morally incorrect outlook on life while stupid and plain wrong, especially if you're a priest is not enough to exclude someone from the church. As it is these guys occupy the grey zone, too lightweight to bring out the big guns so the church at large generally chooses to ignore them, just like the majority of the baldies these guys have some schock value to them but are largelly harmless. Coincidentally, that particular priest comes from a fringe hardcore Catholic branch that believes last 3 popes were heretics because of bringing modern reforms into the Church, that should explain a lot.

Look at the kid in the last picture. Do you really think this kid would be able to understand that a simple gesture might be inappropriate? I think he's just doing what everyone else does and belives that it's ok as long as he doesn't take it seriously. I used to jokingly make this gesture as a child and it never occured to me that it might be wrong. I'm more concerned about the adults who oversee this group and encourage such behaviour. In my opinion they should be arrested and the youth sent on a trip to Auschwitz or perhaps a meeting with members of Jewish community and Polish concentration camp survivors in order to make sure that their first thought upon hearing the word 'Hitler' is a suffering compatriot and their first thought upon hearing the word 'Jew' is a face of a nice old granny who gave them a cookie.

Perhaps he can illuminate us into what is so wrong about refusing to promote homosexuality in society?
