The British ambassador to Poland has been accused of ‘representing the homosexual lobby’ after he gave a booklet on LGBT rights to a Polish gay rights leader.

“Ambassador Todd has exceeded his authority,” Janusz Kochanowski, the Polish civil rights ombudsman told the Daily Mail.

“He is being improper and doesn’t understand the role of a diplomat. He represents the UK, he is not meant to intervene here in the way that he chooses.”

Anyone have an opinion?

I have no quarrel with Sodomities, what they do in their own back yard, is their business.
However, I believe others might disagree...

If he was acting in accordance with policy then, prima facie, that should be fine but wasn't Himmler just acting under policy too? ;) ;)

He was acting in a different capacity which can change things but he is just a person after all and I wouldn't have found that offensive in the slightest. It is not for us to banish those seen as social miscreants. Politicians are the true reprobates.

Let is slide, it lies well within the boundaries of tolerance as it wasn't those flamboyant gays that parade around.

Why no stories on US Ambassador Victor Ashe?...He is a flamer...Perhaps he keeps it very discrete in Poland.

Pederastic European Union! Dose not the very idea of some special, but none the less, imaginary "gay rights" humiliate all normal citizens?

Ho, ho, ho!...But most progressive Europeans think that acts performed by gays usually confined to the urinal should be liberated!

Trully, I understand nothing in this most depraved libertine bedlam! Why all these qweers should have any special rights? It has nothing in common with humaine rights, but it shows only immorality and dissoluteness of present day politicans

I don't think they take as active a PC stance as some here think. I'd describe it more as laissez-faire, live and let live rather than condoning it to any degree. What doesn't harm me doesn't bother me is how many Europeans seem to think. Classically liberal and not 'new liberal'.

But why they shoul live and show their immorality, provoking by it youngsters, recruiting them in gay society?

I wasn't endorsing it at all, CK. I'm also not a fan of seeing such kind of promotion in the public gaze. It's a private matter and they should just get on with doing what they do behind closed doors as, let's be honest, who's gonna enforce a ban on sodomy?

Yeah, much ado about nothing! So many people act out of boredom these days and this is but one more example of people taking a needless stand. Let it slide.

Sure I see. But in the same time you describe it as "live and let live"; and this thing is beyond my understanding! Why you do not say that all these prides are direct abuse of moral principles and defiance to social norms of behaviour? You know me; you know that of all virtues I aspire to, tolerance is the one I value most. But let's imagine situation, though there is no any need of imagination, because there are alot of such patterns in nowday England, that the priest you have in your parish is gay! I know that modern Europe is mostly atheistic but anyway.... Instead of prays to god you will think only about his (priest's) sexual predilections, who is he in sex, top or bottom? Do you think it is right?

Be that as it may, Seanus, but my expirience and gayishness give me the right to point out to you that modern European socium is gradually getting mad.

I said that that is how many Europeans see it. Why should you bother if you are not harmed? Priest and bottom seem to fit ;) ;)

Yes, you are right; it is too petty to be a pretex of new war. But Europe has alot of other causes for great war inside. So, this possible war will cure all petty defects en masse

You might be thinking that, which says more about you than anything else. Other people just get on with things, let people live their lives without let or hindrance, and don't obsess about other people's sexuality.

The British ambassador has a role in presenting British values in Poland. Among those values are tolerance, fairness, inclusiveness and equal rights.

No British politician would object if the Polish ambassador (a very odd woman, by the way) gave a leaflet about whatever subject to some British activist. Why the reverse?

Is Poland so perfect that there's nothing else for the politicians to do with our tax zlotys other than issue negative press releases about run-of-the-mill meetings equality campaigners and diplomats from friendly countries?

You are completely correct: they should have no special rights at all, they should have only the same rights as hetrosexual people have!

Ah my dear, shall I tell you something? Letting them live their lives you condemn them for mutual hostilities and barbarism. Let them live by their own and you will see how they will gnaw each other... be sure...

Poland is in the EU and has to abide by EU standards if it wants to stay in it. If things such as tolerance, fair-mindedness and acceptance of difference are unacceptable to the vast majority of Polish people, they should force a referendum to leave the EU. But that would show that no lessons had been learned from events that took place on Polish soil over 60 years ago ... :-(
