British food exports to Poland up 53%

According to yesterdays paper British food exports are up, especially to central and eastern Europe. My now ex gf loved marmite, so what is everybody buying?

Heinz beans, Heinz beans and Heinz beans.
I was surprised that the shop nearest to me has them.
I buy them some times just so they stock them.
They are the only canned food I buy.

Why don't the other people who make beans just rob Heinz beans' recipe?

good point. marmite,baked beans. i also think it meant cheeses,meat and some beers, not lager- beer but beer- beer.

Some shops have HP sauce and Marks & Spencer in Zloty Taras now sells food. The Polish diet is broadening!

See I was having a moment there Polskers and now you've gone and ruined it. Just one whiff and i'm transported back to plump breasts, tender thighs and Sunday roasts. :) That'll be that Moderator's heartless streak coming out. I can't watch her now she's gone all loose in the itv sense rather than anything Newtonian :)

No the moment has passed swans and waterfalls. Where is reverse on this thing? :) But at least we've learnt something from it so all is not in vain and no harm done in any case. Hope you're well Polskers. :)

In the UK we have imported some very nice Polish foods I just love the gherkins and Polish salami type sausage. Polish shops have taken off very well also so it is a fair exchange I think. When you try Marmite toast your bread and put on some proper butter (not margerine) and then just dab the Marmite over the toast. Do not put it on thickly like using jam. You can also make a hot drink of it, put a teaspoon or so in a cup and pour on boiling water stirring as your pour the water. Wait for it to dissolve and then drink slowly, you could also make some toast cut it into strips and dip it in the Marmite drink. Another use is to make a stew/casserole and put some Marmite in to enhance the flavour. It is just a matter of taste, you either love it or hate it.

It's a good thing to give to prospective girlfriends. I've noticed a perfect correlation between girls who like Marmite and those who swallow, just as there is a perfect correlation between girls who don’t like Marmite and those who spit.

That simply is not true (about Marmite anyway). There were two factories in the UK making Marmite before it started to be distributed in NZ. Production of the Kiwi version of Marmite only started in the 1930s.

Have made a mental note to take Marmite with me to the Hilton brunch. Any bird who likes oysters with Marmite in them is a dead cert to swallow!

A gateway to another dimension. Maybe even an image of the Virgin Mary like you get in the occasional Mexican aubergine (this usually depends on some butter and toast crumbs accidentally getting mixed in).
