where does the line between freedom of speach and inciting racial hatred get drawn at the moment.

You really need to know EU laws and regulations before you say true or false when talking about freedom of speech within the EU.

Freedom of speech ends when you incite hatred, discriminate, and or make derogatory comments towards a certain group based solely on culture or nationality and/ or handicaps or physical/ mental illness.

It's perfectly alright to illustrate your concerns about the whole migration situation we currently have to deal with in Europe, but what Eddien does is throwing discriminatory insults at people who don't deserve any of that.

Thats pretty spot on.

And poland2006, remove you phone number. You should never put your number up on the internet.

Americans first targeted Poles during their first wave of immigration, circa 1917. Like all immigrants, they had trouble understanding the language, customs and accoutrements of urban technology. Nativists who found immigrants threatening found it easy to brand them stupid.
Stand-up comics who grew up with ethnic humor made it a part of their routines. Poles seemed to get special attention from Jewish Borscht Belt comics, perhaps because of Poland’s long history of anti-Semitism.
In the 1960s, West Germans began a Polish joke cycle in response to tensions with then-Communist Poland. This was then imported into American comedy.

Try regestering yourself

Nah it's all good. Gosc is entitled to an opinion. But it was obvious that it's a waste of time after it continued to slag me off because I like to snowboard.

Fisz,
take space shuttle No 5, get off at the Pluto Watering Hole Station - I am in the space station Big Carrot, on the second floor - knock 3 times: the password is: rzodkiewka, which you have to punch into the little screen.

It all depends on the individual.

i was wondering from a social, or even legal, context rather than an individual one

I expect they will give the IP address to the UK Police if asked. We do have reciprocating laws after all.

Even if they did, which I doubt, i don't think anything would happen apart from it being filled under B and never seen again.

Seriously, I was talking to a mate of mine last week and he said he was watching some little scroat breaking into his car and proceeding to reverse engineer the stereo system. (obviously some kind of YTS initiative)
He naturally called the police who gallantly turned up a few hours later and told him to forget it, no chance of finding the little darling etc and as a parthian shot (as he'd asked what had taken so long) they told him that they only responded quickly if it was violence or drugs related.

The problem is, when they do turn up and find there is no 6'6 ex basketballer unicycling down High St rubbing coke into his gums whilst attempting to shoot glass bottles of the head of the scallies he chained to the lamposts earlier, they might be a bit disappointed.

I know I would be.

being an extremely selfish man i do not give not a second thought to the feelings of pc plod as long as he turns up quickly and sends the local turds on their merry way...

my answer to anyone who complains about immigrants coming to Britain, should read Daniel Defoes poem "the true born englishman" it'a as relevant today as it was 300 years ago when it was written

I think that it is the germans who have a lot of jokes about the Polish. They make jokes rather like the English make jokes about the Irish. I was reading some of the comments above. In Poland it is very rare to find Polish people who speak two languages. Many Polish people have come to England to work and this is strange. I met many Polish people in Moscow during communism when I was a student of Russian. I stayed at the famous Pushkin Institute in Moscow and there were over 600 trainee teachers of Russian from Poland. The Polish people never had a good word for England and it was always the same thing "Churchill sold Poland to the Russians". They did not like the BBC and even the colour of my British passport, now a totally different story. They all want to stay and buy a house in the best part of town where their children will be guaranteed a place at the best local state school i dalej i dalej I could go on and on about how two faced they are.

"Churchill sold Poland to the Russians"

Churchill was the only one who wanted to help the Poles. The Americans sold Poland down the river, they were the only ones who could stand up to Russia, and they didn't.

Wegpeter: A Nazi would be kicking you in the mouth right now if it wasn't for America. Without America Russia would have been German. I think America at the time had just about enough of war. Remember, Patton was ready to continue. Poland was not a big part of the equation when it came to,( Should America move against Russia).
