According to a polish newspaper 'Dziennik' first algae power plant in Europe will be built in Poland in the three year time. The algae will be raised in 8meter high transparent containers filled with nutrient-rich water. Harvesting will take place three times a day due to high growth potential of the algae which than will be dried in special centrifuges and gasified with a special plasma-burners. CO2 produced during the gasifying process will be fed into containers where along with sunlight and water will be used in the process of the photosynthesis.
No CO2, no Wars for minerla resources ... It is beautiful.
140M Euro investment is suppose to return in several years, if the project succeeds six more power plants will be built. Due to non-emission electricity production, green certificates will make the project more efficient and even comparable with nuclear power plant.
