FR POPIEŁUSZKO GETS POSTHUMOUS WHITE EAGLE

President Kaczyński has announced plans to bestow the Order Białego Orła, Poland's highest decoraiton, on Fr Jerzy Popiełuszko, brutally tortured and murdered 25 years ago by the communist regime.
His beatification late this year is expected , the first step towards Catholic sainthood.
ALthough it is inconceivable that such a crime by secret polciemen could have been committed without the knowledge and most likely on orders from strognman dictator Jaruezelski and his interior min. henchman Kiszczak, the two have kept stonewalling and seem likely to take their secret to the grave.
