German/Polish war over Nudist Beach

German naturists swimming and sunbathing on a nude beach near the Polish border are complaining about voyeurs from the other side of the border who stare at them.

One nude beach patron, Ines Muller, said beach-goers from Poland come to the beach in Germany to stare at nude swimmers and sunbathers.

Muller told the Sun newspaper, "You feel like an ape in the zoo. The Poles come with their binoculars, stare and swear."

A fence separating the beach at the border was demolished in 2007 after an agreement was reached between Germany and Poland.

Ever since, the fence was removed, Poles have been looking at activities on the other side of the beach.

Elke Bernholz, another German beach patron said, "It's a nudist beach. It's terrible that the Poles come over dressed and stare."

But while the naturists are annoyed by the presence of their neighbors, the mostly conservative Poles are also "scandalized" by so many naked swimmers and sunbathers in their area.

A Polish national from the town of Swinemunde said, "It's horrible -- we would never bathe naked,

I wouldn't want my kids to go to the beach and look at someone's dick flapping in the wind.
But then again, you almost see them in the skimpy swimming suits they have in Europe.

I lived in Germany for 6 years ( berlin). Around the lakes they do like to sunbathe naked. You can tell which ones are having erotic dreams, which is quite funny.

I don't see any problem. If the naturists want some more privacy, they should build a wall around them ;) But if they can go naked like this, i guess they shouldn't have any problem with people watching. Why would they be embarrassed?

It's the same stupid thing as with the Amis....you can show off a naked girl as obscenely as you want BUT you need to have a tiny black thingy over the nipples of the girl, then it's alright again....that is ridiculous!!!

I have to admit when I went to visit an Island off Debrovnik there was a nudist beach, so of course I had to go and investigate, full of old Germans and a few Brits, cant say I was tempted to join in since I prefer a bikini.

The English like to get their kit off too (much as some would say we are complete prudes) we have a few naturists here, each to their own...I dont really see what the fuss is about, we all have the same bits regardless of nationality.

Maybe Poles should be furnished with leaflets:

Germans and English have much more in Common with each other as either of the previous do with Poles. True all have (apart from the obvious illness's , etc etc ) 1 head etc etc but the head set's are different from the Poles.

It has to do with nudism as a practice inherited from communist times when it was developed as a reaction to regime.Of course the Poles did not have to develop such reactions since they had the Pope.

i stumbled into some nude Germans on a beach (cove ) in kefalonia. it was not a pretty sight to see, old fat wrinklies splashing around... yeagh

I don't know about the Poles but the nudist movement in Germany goes back some centuries now and surely has nothing to do with a protest against a regime...any regime!

There should be naked Poles with Germans on the other side guffawing at them yet remaining clothed due to the existence, if not presence, of a German Pope. In Britain, there isn't much nudism because, rather than there being an English Pope (hasn't been one since Nicholas Brakespeare a long long time ago), there is the presence of monarchy.

The Germans don't need to worry, the Poles only have enough money for x8 power where you can't see sh*t anyway ;) ;)

Hey! I agree that you can blame conservative religious right folks for the black bars over the nips, BUT not ALL of us are religious righties! But I will also allow that our Protestant culture has made a lot of things taboo that should be completely natural.
