Some of the best works on the Atlantic slave trade come from Professor Tony Martin from Wesleyan University...Just 'google' his name... This story has been circulated by different news outlets, jonni. He's not making this up though I can't attest to its actual validity. Nonetheless, it remains a news item as I have come across it in different places. Look around.

On the internet, there's a few scare stories in Islamist websites and conspiracy theorists' rantings, and a couple of articles from more respectable sources pointing out that it's medically impossible. I'd like to see the original poster back it up.

Well, I'll let him speak as I don't know, I wasn't there ;0 ;) I do know that there were similar stories about Serbs having their organs removed by UCK and KLA terrorists. Again, I'm reluctant to believe almost anything I read these days. Anyway, back to the thread.

Bostrom said he balanced those claims in his article by including a reaction from an Israeli military spokesman who told him that the Israel Defense Forces routinely carries out autopsies on Palestinians killed by their troops. But, as he stated in his article, Bostrom said he has doubts about the necessity of the procedures if it is clear how the person died. A freelance journalist doesn't belive the autopsies were required so there must be a hidden story and news syndication monies to be made here :-))) But what is deliberately overlooked by those like JP is: Bostrom told CNN he had no proof that Israeli soldiers were stealing organs! sjam As you may or may not know, Jews form a substantial part in every post Joe does. Mostly it's a bad part, or some "proof" that Jews are out to take over the world and they got what they had coming with the Holocaust. One quote of one of his posts, not too long ago: "They (the Jews) didn't like the Nazis because they tackled them head on". No folk or tribe assigned themselves a name that was derogatory or insulting. The English "Slavs" follows their original name "Sławianie/Słowianie" and has nothing in common with the Latin word "slave". The name "Słowianie/Sławianie" may take origin from either "sława" [fame] or "słowo" [word] or from a name of an unknown place.

The link I posted came right out of the Aftenbladt story, which I first became aware of thanks to the writer Israel Shamir...My story combined elements of the Aftenbladt feature, along with links from other sources...The story got some play in major US daily newspapers, especially in the NY & NJ area, where the American end of the organ trade ring was centered... As far as 'hobbies', I have spent 30 years as a musician, working professionally and teaching, and have spent the last 15 or so honing my composing skills...I work primarily in an area that could be called 'World Music Fusion' combining elements of various World ethnic music with American jazz, folk and blues, in addition to some European classical elements...I have been a candidate for such things as the Pew Fellowship Composer grant...
