Liga Polskich Rodzin- A worthy option?

According to the polls, majority of Polish people share President Kaczynski’s firm position that Poland should not have backed Pristina Albanians’ unilateral declaration of independence.

Apart from Poland’s president, one of the most prominent voices on Polish and EU political scene fiercely opposed to the wanton mutilation of Serbian state is Sylwester Chruszcz, a Member of the European Parliament and President of the League of Polish Families, who didn’t hesitate to declare the recognition of UDI by Albanian secessionists in the Serbian province was a “fatal mistake”, nor to remind that, regardless of the illegal individual recognitions, “Kosovo is Serbia”.

The LPR opposes: the selling of land to foreign nationals (especially German Heimatvertriebene), abolishing the draft, legalization of "soft drugs", legalization of abortion, euthanasia, and gay marriage. It supports capital punishment, maintaining universal health care and public education, and supports the withdrawal of Polish troops from Iraq. The LPR also supports the publication of the complete archives of the Polish communist secret police -- in other words, full "de-Communization. The party is anti-EU. Although it was the only significant political force in Poland that unconditionally opposed Polish membership in the European Union (believing that a union controlled by social liberals could never be reformed), after Polish accession to the EU the party participated in European Parliament elections, in order to have actual influence over decisions made regarding Poland. During the 2004 controversy surrounding Rocco Buttiglione (the conservative Italian nominee as European Commissioner for "Justice, Freedom, and Security"), the LPR deputies demanded the dissolution of the parliament, feeling that it was too much under the influence of a homosexual lobby. Although Giertych sometimes makes you want to shake your head, the parties foundations are sound. I think it, and Naprzod Polska will only grow in size and voters. As well, because of their anti-EU stance, they ally themselves with the only other natural option, Russia ;)

Sorry, Poles can buy land in the UK so we should be able to do likewise here. Legalisation of abortion? Highly contingent on the specifics. Euthanasia? Again, they'd need to show that they broadly understand PVS and informed consent Gay marriage? It's an emerging reality but would be out of place in Poland. Still, that shouldn't preclude the right to have one. Capital punishment? It depends on its operation and may go against some EU legislation Super thread, Filios, I have heard bad things about the party but don't know about the specifics.

Seanus: Poles can buy land in the UK so we should be able to do likewise here. All tied within EU framework however. Problem solved if you're no longer a member, then you are not obligated. I'm sure quite a few Poles in the UK would be angry with this. Why not return to Poland then and build up your own country? Seanus: Still, that shouldn't preclude the right to have one. Foundations are as sound as people enacting them, Hitler had pretty decent and humane foundations as well (if you ignore Mein Kampf).

What is so stupid about buying land, Sokrates? I really fail to see your point here. Filios, Giertych's reputation precedes him. Many Poles know that a vote for him is a vote for a borderline fascist who will deviate from his manifesto faster than Bolt can run the 100m.

You know, not only Liga Polskich Rodzin supports Serbs, but many men/women in both PiS and PO. Kaczynski has recently been very vocal in his disapproval of Kosovo recognition by Tusk.

The whole point for me is that they are ani EU, dont they see the benefits of being in the EU has brought to Poland, i.e freedom of movement for Polish people and the funding and the companies (I could name a couple of English ones that have moved their operations there) that have gone to Poland. As for the gay marriage thing, well, it only arose to give same sex couples the same legal rights as hetro couples, I dont see anything wrong with that. Abortion, well, its a difficult one, I'd rather have it legal and than not, I think more about the safety of womens lives that the high moral ground that some people like to take. Capital punishment, I thought we were living in a modern society and had done away with flogging people in the streets, cutting off bits and peices of the anatomy and had moved on to dealing with people in a more civilsed manner. As for buying land, I wonder if Ola123 is a member of this party ;0) I also wonder how much a Pole would cry and screem discrimination if they were told they couldn't buy land in a foreign country!

How many of these mujas still stayed in Bosnia, how many took off to fight as merceneries elsewhere? I know the element themselve, wanted to use Bosnia only as a stepping stone to spread Islam into other Balkan countries, and then north. Serbs did us a great service by eradicating the larger part of their force. Crow: When Poland abandon NATO and come us in aid it would be Serbs and Poles against rest of the NATO and Islamic league. For as long as Tusk is prime minister, and PO is in majority, this won't happen. Unfortunately. It would really take some kind of miracle to make voters realize what their real agenda is. Crow: Tusk must be seriously mentaly deranged Well, his grandfather fought in Wehrmacht. I think he is proud of his heritage, and tries as best he can to further his grandfathers legacy. You can project your interests without much external political or military threat, Poland is in the middle of a shytefield, whats harmless in UK must be under a magnyfying glass here.

In case of Poland which is bordered by Germany which while matured since WW2 has its own agendas regarding Polish west, or in case of Russia which is a dishonest craphole land becomes a possible political tool. I'm not against foreigners buying land as a rule but it should be monitored so for example Siergiei Comunistowski from Moscow doesnt buy land on an important energy route or that Russia doesnt use the pretext of its citizens property being harmed as justification of an invasion in the future, Poland is not UK we do not live on a comfy island.

Seanus, like MJ, the face of NATO will undergo a plastic surgery option. In the near future it won't be so much an anti Russian entity but more a militant controllant factor. It will police places with militaries striking only when they invade one another. It's purpose will be responding to aggressors and protecting pacificist states from their antics. These new (future) aggressors will be Chinese and Arabs.
