IS NEW LITHUANIAN PRESIDENT POLISH?

The new president of Lithuania is 53-year-old Dalia Grybauskaite. Her surname is a translation of the very Polish Grzybowska. Anyone know if she's got any Polish roots?
Some Googling has extracted info to the effect that she is fluent in Lithuanian, Russian, Polish, French and English.

She doesn't claim any Polish roots, but it's hard to hide her communist past.

I would never belive that thousands of Lithuanians voted for a Polish politician to become their president, it would been to ridicoulus thinking of Vilnius and what's happening there.
