Nobility / Aristocracy in Poland ?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there's still a kind of class called aristocracy or nobility in Poland, or sthg like that ?

I'm asking the question because I'm in Warsaw right now, I belong to French aristocracy and I'd like to meet nobles over here.

No, a big part of them were beheaded but another part survived ; as in Poland I think. What's more, Napoleon himself made people noble. So ? any nobles in poland ? (and on this forum ;)) ?

My family from my grand mothers side was related to duchess Potocka, but I don't know the details, I just know that I don't have any direct blood relations.. beside that, I dunno if you know but this board is used mainly by people who are not polish, so stating "polish people" might be a mistake : o

But I did replied your question. There is a big group of aristocracy in Poland, they meet in their own company as most of them are related in some way.
