What is the penalty in Poland for exercising foreign citizenship?

I know Polish law does not specifically "allow" dual citizenship, but they you dont have to denounce another just to have it.

My question is regarding an item I recently read on wikipedia...
"Polish law does not explicitly allow dual citizenship, but possession of another citizenship is tolerated as there are no penalties for its possession alone. However, penalties do exist for exercising foreign citizenship, such as identifying oneself to Polish authorities using a foreign identification document"

"Poland treats nationals of other countries whom it considers Polish citizens as if they were solely Polish."
"this may create problems for individuals of Polish descent born abroad who, in spite of having no ties to Poland, are nevertheless subject to all obligations of Polish citizenship"

So say, I a polish citizen, while departing Poland, present my US passport for exit. What exactly is the penatly? What if I never decide to present my Polish passport?

maybe:

you might be asked about your visa etc. this would lead to complications i imagine.

explaining yourself might ensure that you miss your flight, at the very least.

This is assuming that you used a Polish passport to enter the country.

I'm not sure but I think that there may be some penalties, when somebody is trying to hide a fact that has a Polish citizenship. For example If somebody with Polish and Swedish citizenships commit a crime in Poland and claim that he has only Swedish citizenship because wants to be deported to Sweden as their prisons are like good hotels compared to ours... In this case It seems to be obvious that you have to show US passport (as otherwise they won't let you in without a visa) I don't think that you should have any problems because of that. Each year probably thousands of people do the same. But you should wait for people who were in the same situation, there must be some on the forums.

US citizens are not required to have visa's for stays under 90days. So if I only stay under that time, given entry & departure with a US passport, should that be fine?

I pose this question as I remember on my previous trip, that once they heard me speak fluent polish, they questioned where my PL passport was. At that time I didnt have one, and they called in another guy who took another look at the US passport, and said it was ok.

My question is, that now given that I do have both passports, must I be "required" to show them the PL one, even if I'm a born US citizen and dont wish to travel on PL passport?

Like i stated, I dont want to take the PL passport, hence why I'm asking these questions. I need & want all my entry stamps in the US passport.

I fly into poland on my polish passport and fly out on my canadian passport. Haven't had any problems yet, not even questions. I think grzegorz's post explains it well.

"Canadian and Polish law permits their nationals to have more than one nationality, however, your Canadian citizenship is not recognized in Poland. Canadian citizens of Polish origin must enter and exit Poland on their Polish passports. Please note that you must also have a valid Canadian passport in order to re-enter Canada."

nope, I've never had an issue
I always take my US and my PL one when traveling to PL and back
I'm assuming the post above about breaking the law is what that was talking about. Basically denying your PL citezenship to get out of rough spots with the law.
Foreigners are allowed to drive for a certain time on their country's license by presenting that + passport in PL, from what I'm told. Anyone confirm/deny this?
