Poland - United States relations: Do you think that they are going to change during the Obama presidency?

Arlene   Mar 19, 09, 18:06 /  #
No I don't think so. In America we have alot of Polish People living in here since 1800's and America, England & Poland do have bond and tight friendships no matter whose is President of U.S.

Look few weeks ago America celebrated Pulaski Day and we haven't forgotten our Polish Heros??? I heard Polish people have been living here and been working with our 1st President George Washington. I couldn't believe this. Polish people do have strong bond for America for long long time. America should be grateful for Polish, England, French, Mexian, Spanish & others. We would have been boring in America and would not know about their delicious foods. Foods! Foods! Foods! I wouldn't passed their foods.
Everybody should be proud of your countries. Thanks for your hardwork in here.

If Obama turns out to be "soft on Russia", of which there already have been some indications, ties with Poland might become a bit cooler. The Kremlin is especially keen not to have an anti-missile installation in Poland and the Czech Republic. Washington may try to make the shield a NATO-wide project and possibly even involve Moscow in it to prove that it is not an anti-Russian project.

Fingers crossed but... I dont think so.
I wrote in the past that Poland considers America as a good friend but I think its one side relationship... America does not really care about wee Poland.
Not sure if Obama on board changes anything...

Under Obama relations with Poland will not be as good as under Bush. With liberals, Poles are not "politically correct' enough.

I don't think so either. Other than killing the missile shield, I really don’t think Obama will give Poland a second thought.

Obama is only vaguely aware of Poland's existence...He knows what his Zionist advisors tell him...Obama thinks a 'Pole' is something that is used to measure his popularity....However, he did once eat a Kielbasa sandwich in Chicago when he was forced to attend a Pulaski Day celebration during one of his campaigns...He said "I never ate a hot dog like this before...What did you say this is called?"

Obama/Kielbasa

Obama with Kielbasa/Poles are out of camera range...

The VISA requirement is still there and he is still seeking to do business to ward off a non-existent threat.

Is he? I hadn't noticed. I've been focussing on what he's been saying and doing. Wait a moment......OK, no, he's most decidedly brown.

Poland just doesn't mean enough to him. The mutt, Kaczyński, will have to yap some more.

Poland, and Europe in general, do a fair bit of trade around the world and are engaged in all kinds of exchange programs. Why should we care if we are not important to the hegemonic US?

I cower behind no-one, thank you very much. The US-UK partnership is strong and I have no bearing on it.

We are committing more troops of our own, another 500. Hardly cowering behind you guys.

What you forget is that I'm not a fan of EU leaders either so don't expect me to argue too much on this point. They are at international meetings for the tea and biscuits. Sarkozy at Sharm al Sheikh, what a joke!!

Well, it would seem that the US strategy isn't working after, what, almost 8 years? LOL Those frail old weirdie-beardie cave hoppers giving you the run around? ROTFL

..they did it to Alexander the Great... and also.. dare I say it... THE BRITISH!! But then again so did some spear chucking nig.gers called the Zulus. Lot's of Scotties in those ranks firing cannon into naked bodies wielding spears. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.

Let history be history and the present be the present. I see you have nothing to say on the thread as Obama has nothing on the table for Poland.

Apparently, I missed his inauguration speech in Warsaw. He's not Poland's president. Poles were angry with the missile deal, now they're mad it's been 86'ed. Poles are mad about visas yet Poles impose them on us. This is the mentality we're working with and are probably as we speak.. choosing to walk away from.

Don't worry, when the relevant time comes along, almost nobody will need visas. More work is needed before then though.

Well now, that is excellent goddamn news. Now I need to get my accordion out of hock and set up shop on a Krakow street corner. The sun is peaking through the clouds.
