Poland’s Future Includes Fewer Poles, More Foreigners Poland’s population will likely shrink by two million by 2035, but the country will have twice as many foreigners, reported the daily Dziennik on Monday. A report from the Central Statistical Office forecasts that Poland will become a more multi-cultural country owing to the influx of migrants from the former Soviet Union, Asia and Africa. The report details a number of reasons: Only 38 per cent of women will be of age for childbirth, the daily says, compared to 50 per cent today. Polish women also will not think of starting a family until their 30s. There will be some four million more senior citizens and life expectancy is expected to rise by six years for men and three years for women. Fewer Poles will also leave the country in search of work, the report predicts, as they are expected to have better opportunities and an improved quality of life in Poland. --------------------------- May the SOURCE be with you.

They are coming anyway. Just wait until they enter the EU..and they will. Poland will become Ukranian, and Poles will run hard to Western Europe.

Rather ironic this thread, the worry of foriegners coming to Poland and therefore shrinking the homogenous population. Well at least you will soon know how it feels to live in the UK right now. Its a dose of your own medicine if you ask me, the world is expanding, globalisation is taking over, get used to it. Things change all the time, this includes the population of countries. I've read on here a number of times replies to British people that they are just scared of change or racist because they feel that too many Polish or other nationalties are coming to the UK!!!! I would like to hear those voices now, i wonder what they are thinking about the possible change in Poland???

irishdeano: but was also alot to do with EU... I am not gonna argue with you abut that. EU was not a sole reason for the Republic of Ireland to do well. Ceasing IRA activities was another reason, then low taxes for foreigners as well among other things. There are a lot foreign investments in Ireland. But you are right about Poland, it will do well. It is already doing well.

The truth is the country would have adapted to the situation, if it needed to do whatever the foriegn nationals do, did and will do, it would have. your polish..well for a start alot of the media was one sided...IRA activites ended in the republic of ireland along time ago...IRA activtes was taking place in northern ireland.

miranda: when? pretty much when the free state was changed to republic of ireland..some members moved across to the north of ireland to help the IRA who was based in the 6 counties. Most activitives took place in south armagh,..also known as bandit country. this was the IRA strong hold. the provos where in a league of there own compared to any of the rest.

In 1985 Sinn Fein recognised the Dial (Southern Parliament) Since the Thirties The IRA have had a standing order prohibiting attacks on Free state forces, of course this didnt prevent the shooting of Garda Gerry McCabe. The IRA continued to organise in all parts of the Island until very recently. The so called Celtic Tiger economy is largly tied up with Globilisation and would have happened irrespective of IRA activity.

Ireland is just a small squabble more people were killed on the roads. Poland will grow econimically and wont be "swamped" by foreigners including Canadinian-Ukranians (even though you were born there). You had shifting borders and shifting people and look how peaceful it is. Yeah I agree with Irish deano Its complicated (Said the Belfast man)

Yes thanks to globalism, and thats thanks to our leaders. I dont know about the rest of you, but I think Poland belongs to those who are POLISH, and only. Why should anything else be there? If it was made up of everything else then it would be called america, not poland. It is the civilians duty to keep non poles out. If Poland changes-Because of Middle eastern, african and as always jews setteling there, it changes your nation, and that changes the future of your people. Then you wont be polish, and what will you be? Americans? F*** that, im not even full Polish but I see my reasoning as an importance. Poland needs to stay the same way its been forever, and always. If not, then it kind of changes who you are, it might be like, you dont exist. This all may be extreme, but surely some have to agree. I was born in America but I will never lose my nationalism for the countries my ancestors came from. North Central Europe!
