POLISH CHURCH OPPOSES FREE IN-VITRO CONCEPTION

Opposition to a test-tube baby law being drafted by the Polish government has evoked opposition from the Polish Episcopate. A letter read out from the pulpit of churches across the country stated that children are not a consumer good to which everyone has a right, but a God-given gift. Poland’s liberal government wants married couples unable to have children the normal way to have access to free-of-charge in-vitro conception at the taxpayer’s expense. Opponents of the measure are urging childless couples to adopt one of the some 20,000 children living in orphanages across Poland rather than artificially producing new ones.

This is pure selectivism when you pick and choose who can have children.

I quite like the practical solution of adopting an orphan. If you can overcome the initial barrier and stigma of taking an orphan under your wing (a stupid stigma at that), then you can develop a strong attachment. Just look at the film 'Bandyta' which shows this.

I'm usually liberal but there are certain things in life that we must accept, e.g that black athletes often have the advantage due to their build. I believe that impotent men should get help but exploring other options seems to be sensible.

We all know what happened to him...cruicifiction.

Naw, for the blacks in America...they were bred a certain kind of way...think of it this way...During slavery the blacks in America were viewed as no more than animals. They took big African Bucks and bred them with Big Black gals to make stronger babies to work the fields for them...but then the almighty Masters got to looking at some of those big black gals and decided to make babies with them....ask Thomas Jefferson

I do not like ideologs or church people decide for society how to pursue our lives. I have bad memory about communism and inquisition.

I agree with the above 2 posts. Och, Darwin, he was but one man. Was it the fault of the white man that God gave black men superior strength (in general you understand)? Why is it that white men hardly ever win the 100 metres sprint/dash? They'd need steroids to stand a chance.

If you are gonna criticise gay men for having 'wrong' genes, then the impotent have drawn short straws too ;)

Yeah, but on avg, white men can run long distances better than black men. I don't know if GOD gave black men superior strength here in America...remember, they were bred that way. If you look at the Africans from Africa they are nowhere near as strong as the ones who were bred like animals here in America. Once again simple genetics.

I read about this, it is a load of bull, God-given right? rubbish.

Who the hell are they to urge anyone to do anything?.
I would suggest it or recommend it but to urge people not to have their own children is lunacy.

A religion has no right to tell people that they can't have their own children unless it is sex between a married man and woman, sure in the fairy tale wasn't your saviour the birth of a virgin mother?.

Talk about an expensive proposal! I'm not sure how much in-vitro costs in PL, but in the US it is about $20,000 per try. Does that mean Poland's medical system is overloaded with cash? lol
