rychlik: If you don't live in Poland or haven't been doing so for 83% of your life then it's a bit of stretch for you to be identifying yourselves with day to day life here, economically or politically. However your family is your blood and as people their concerns by rights are your concerns. Therefore you do have a vested interest in what affects your family but, as individuals, you are nonparticipants when it comes to daily life within the borders of Poland. So when discussing who or what is threatening people in Poland "us" doesn't really include you personally, does it?
where'd you get the number 83 from haha
To answer your question, no it doesn't but since when is Polish pride a bad thing? I see too many individuals all but turn their back on their Polish heritage and take on America's once they immigrate to the U.S.
I'm 24, lived in Poland my first 4 years of my life, i've visited 5 times throughout my life (gets expensive flying from San Diego) each time staying atleast 2 months and all my family lives there. My parents are also expecting to return once they retire. While I agree overall with your saying who really cares? I've noticed atleast the Poles i've encountered here in the U.S bicker and fight over stupid **** too often (like this). Too much competition when we all come from the same motherland.
