Both sides of the great euro debate in Poland are watching Slovakia which entered teh euro zone on 1st Jan. 2009 to see how things unfold. The antis predict high prices, the pros -- stable econ development. The antis say the Brits are in no hurry to scrub their sterling (sounds like someone cleaning the silverware?!), the pros claim Britain is feeling a greater impact of the world crisis by not being in the euro zone. What do you think?

No links, these are impressions picked up off Polish TV channels such as TV Polonia, Polsat and TV news programmes as well as Radio Maryja. BTW, the latter reaches everywhere and is quite big amongst the American Polonia, although I know you Poles turn your noses up at it.

The Pound is now on par with the Euro and probably sinking further....they had their heads high all the time mocking the Euro so there is now understandable some glee.
