Borrka: I'm far from believing idyllic fairy tales but Volhynia makes a mental barrier in our relations
Borrka, just make peace with past as I try to do.
Still I feel pain and anger with RP because it changed lives of billions of people for many generations. It killed future for centuries. It moved back my country for an enormous amount of time. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the only reason.
Borrka, I don't defend I just try to understand the times and people , their actions. I don't know what I would do if somebody (God forbid) killed my child. If you know the person who did it, it is Ok - you can take your revenge even though it won't give your child back. But what if it is an army who did it. How do you answer the murder? You direct it against people who are on the side of the army. Is this right? NO. You can't know who started the killings, it could have been one murder that led to a disaster. Animosity existed because of pacification that started in 1930s. I don't believe in eutopias neither. Intermarriages could be "Ok" in times of pacification and polonization , but what about others? It is difficult to think of it, but I think you can follow what I am trying to say. We all have mental barriers, but we have to try at least put past behind and start living like normal neighbors, that's it.
