Hi guys! I'm in my fifties, Polish-Australian, relocating to Melbourne after many years in Europe. I'm looking for a bedsitter/studio or a room with ensuite and preferably private entrance from the middle of November. Could someone help me?

Thanks! I thought I could get in touch with somebody from the Polish community who has a bed-sitter or a private room to rent.

Bogans are like dumbas*es, people of low intelligence that you don't like. It's a standard word in OZ.

Don't get offended by this website. I think its a great source of the truth. So many intelligent remarks on Australia, it really forms a correct picture of OZ and living in OZ.

Looks familiar (look at #48 of that blog for example). Was that the Aussie version of PF...? <g>
Very entertaining, thanks for the link, mate.

There are dumb people everywhere on this planet, even well-trained to be dumb.
It's always hard to get into an intelligent conversation.

Is that a rhetoric question? I am leaving, planning to anyway, just need to finish my responsibilities and off I go.

OZ is great for holidays, I won't argue with that. It is probably one of the most interesting and beautiful countries of all.

Living here is relatively easy compared to Poland.

Weather is generally good and warm, although its warm weather is actually close to 90% humidity most of the time, meaning that asthmatics aren't welcome. Poland's air is more healthy.

The people are, as stated earlier, bogans.

King Sobieski's question wasn't rhetoric I guess, he's actually given you a very Australian answer. In essence he's telling you "to bugger off if you don't like it". ;)

I wouldn't say that TheOther, moreso trying to understand my reasons.

Now, I did say at the beginning for no one to get offended by this post. Everything said is my opinion, which I supported with a website.

I wasn't offended by your post, and I'm from Oz. Don't know about King Sobieski though.

i wasnt offended nor having a go at markpol. nor implying "fu*k off, we're full"

i just find it strange that people go to the effort of posting such stuff on a blog if they really dont like where they are living.

when i was in scotland for 2 years i didnt run to hatescotland.co.uk and post all the sh1t things about scotland.

I found that pretty weird, too, and many of the posts are really annoying and ignorant. Often to the point where they actually start to be funny. Try #749 for example.

Although I agree, some might be exaggerated.
