That's serious. So what causes such results?

Chemotherapy really suppresses your immune system. Thats a side effect of almost all chemo. It makes you extremely susceptible to any kind of bacteria, The mouth is the typical entry point for this. Even bacteria that you would normally fight off without noticing become extremely dangerous during the period when you are immuno-compromised.

Except when America says jump. Then we are their lap dogs.

Well Canuck.. we often sup at the same table and more often than not we've provided the grub. You are strangely inclined to always invite the European, who does nothing but criticize us both. : - ( Are plutocracies really that interesting?

However, if you've jumped forward.. then jump back. :- )

Elmex I think it's called. My grandad uses a lovely toothpaste called Euthymol. It's pink and has a very particular taste.

Yes, unbridled capitalism (read bankers), have really been an inspiration to Canada.

Maybe not but being an individual is. Your European handlers haven't tutored you on that apparently. Where's your rock n' roll, where's your jazz? No nothing .. but criticizing yankee.. that's the only a.sshole tune you can sing.

ShawnH:
Also, it seems to me that America has given more jobs to China than Canada of late.

You don't buy Chinese sh.t? Look in the mirror. The Chinese have cheap labor.. (oh excuse me .. labour, wouldn't want to offend your queen there.) How long to you think the Chinese ascent will continue? The American public actually is waking up and not everyone shops at Walmart.

I remember the time when rotten teeth in a hot girl's smile meant eastern Europe.
These cavities were an invitation.

Like what, not participating in Iraq? By maintaining relations with Cuba? By supporting Multilateralism with a number of countries around the world that America won't talk to? By proposing the United Nations Peacekeeping Forces, and placing our boys in harms way between warring factions? By sending our troops to hurricane ravaged New Orleans to provide water, assistance and security?

scrappleton:

Proof that European Handlers dictate Canadian Policy, please.

scrappleton:
Where's your rock n' roll

Well, since Canada was less likely to promote slavery, something the US and UK have a deep tradition with, we never had the disaffected black population that the US had. It seems that rock and roll was another thing that America took from the formerly enslaved black people, twisted it and called it their own. But since there is a buck to be made from it, we have provided the US with entertainers such as Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Denny Doherty (of The Mamas & the Papas), David Clayton-Thomas (of Blood, Sweat & Tears), Andy Kim, Zal Yanovsky (of The Lovin' Spoonful), John Kay (of Steppenwolf), Bachman-Turner Overdrive and Rush, Brian Adams..... But need I go on?

Also, President seems to like his crack berry.

scrappleton:

I never contended that we didn't, just dispelling your point about US blessing Canada with jobs aplenty.

scrappleton:
How long to you think the Chinese ascent will continue?

Depends on how deep in the hole America puts herself in.

scrappleton:

Yes, only 3 more years until the next election. But by then, it may be too late. Don't worry about Walmart, I hear their shares are a steal right now, the US unemployment rate is going to hit the levels of the mid 80's, and people will be looking for cheap deals.

Directly.. no. Indirectly... you are European more or less. Stuck in the middle. No ups .. no downs.. just the bland middle. That's a Canuck.. boring as drying paint.

Did I mention I haven't had to go to the dentist in 10 years? Unlike your country, I wasn't charged for it regardless.

Well I am glad you weren't charged for a visit you didn't make. Here in Canada, we only pay for the dentist when we go.

I like to have them professionally scraped and cleaned every 6 months or so.

No, this is not covered under my Ontario Hospital Insurance Plan (OHIP). Dental is separate, except if you are on Welfare.
