Why are 250,000 Brits leaving the UK every year?

Most people I know who are leaving or in the process of looking into leaving is because they are sick of how expensive the country is and the fact that they already feel like a foreigner in the UK so why not go the whole hog and move!

If you have got to put up with thousands of foreigners everywhere then you might as well be somewhere that is cheaper and has better weather.

yeah - I forgot to mention the weather! Much prefer Polish weather - generally nice in the summer and snow in the winter. Not grey drizzle.

I wouldnt say it was a popular choice. France, Spain, Australia are probably in the lead..

When I was in the Florida real estate business i met 100's who wanted to but the visas were a big issue and most didn't have $250,000 plus in their bank accounts for the fast track.

Sky-high cost of living, ever expanding population, a tax hungry, out of touch and uncaring (more than usual) Government, out of control "PC craziness", yob culture, knife culture, crime ridden cities and a general feeling that the youth of today are beyond help.

I heard a chap being interviewed on the radio last week who had been taking some innocent family photos of his kids playing at a town fete. Another parent accused the guy of taking photos of her children as well and basically accused him of being a child abuser.

It's these kinds of silly, totally without logic situations that I was meaning.

Why are 250,000 Brits leaving the UK every year? Because it's a mess. The standard of living sucks. It's in a political mess. The most popular place for Brits to move to is Spain. Spain seems to be Britain's Noah's Ark. In some areas of Spain it is British majority.

A Government voted for by the public.

Britain as been going down the pan for years and it has been allowed to do so by successive Governments, both Labour and Tory.

We should have been more fussy about the people we allowed to run the country.

We got the Government we deserved.

Aren't they going to Spain buying up property? I hear some Spanish say there's a similar disliking for the British as there is with the PL in the UK. True?
