English tossers give Brits a bad name in Poland

I know I have, I remember a trip to Greece where I almost felt like learning a different language so as not to be associated with some of the people there (and half of them were the people I went with!).

The Parliament of the United Kingdom. See, there is more than one. Stormont was formed in 1926, we have had our own devolved Parliament since 1999 and there is the Welsh Assembly. Brown occupies the top position of the one in England :) I've read the quote, what behaviour? Sorry, I don't see what you mean at all.

And before you go hyping them up the devolved governments only govern local issues while the parliament of the united kingdom governs all the areas and retains many powers over them all. I meant physically in England and you know it, the main one :) I'm not going to hype them up as they don't have tax-raising powers and are largely without teeth, unlike Westminster :) Who is we?

It still represents all of the United Kingdom. If your implying that somehow gordon brown rules over England then your very wrong because he is only the head of government and not the government, democracy springs to mind. Seanus: Who is we? He is still primus inter pares, though. He makes the key decisions for GB so England is naturally affected.

True enough, BE. Well, they have the Whip system so they have to 'artificially' tow the line :) Ah well, he's not a true Scot in the eyes of many Scots anyway. There are always hateful cores in society, sledz. You might be right with that one.

szkotja2007 I think it is highly connected with the view of the country which you have in your mind. If you rate country low or lower than yours in your mind when you drunk you can do that. Sometimes that could be even encouraged by your friends ( making picture when you pissin to fountain naked ) to show to your friends back home how cool you were. Notice that when you rate country higher or on the same level you rather wont do that. Example for average British man - Japan, Germany, France.

szkotja2007: I have to admit that I take my holidays in places where there are few Brits around. It was one of the reasons I liked taking holidays in Poland Me too. Try Toruń. There aren't any stag parties there, and if there were, they'd be locked up in the twinkling of an eye. I was stopped by police on three times on a night out, just checking papers. We were two middle-aged (ish) men, one of us Polish. If anything that level of policing is overkill, but for sure there wasn't any rowdiness in the streets that evening.

I have to admit that I take my holidays in places where there are few Brits around. It was one of the reasons I liked taking holidays in Poland

Yeah I have been in that situtation too, only it was with a set of females, whom I went to school with, but get them in "pack" and anything can happen. You are never sure what is going to happen next. I like a good laugh, with the best of people, but some people go too far. I think the key factor is the "pack mentality", where they feel safe and secure in the group that they know, which give them licence to do whatever they like.
