Have you moved from Poland to Britain?

I am a freelance journalist writing a feature for a women’s magazine. The feature is called “I love living in Britain” and as part of it, I’m trying to find a woman aged around 30-55 who has arrived in the UK over the last couple of years and really enjoys living here.

I was wondering if anybody here would like to take part? It would involve a 30 minute telephone interview and there is a small payment.

My deadline is Tuesday so if anyone is interested it would be great to know as soon as possible.
Thanks

Sadly I can't help you; I'm a man who doesn't enjoy his life :)

More chances on some Polish-language forum. Or in your local pub/club frequented by Poles.

Try Slough. There are loads of Poles and the economy round there isn't doing too badly at the moment.

But some people are only ever happy when they're unhappy.

I'm not the case. I'm unhappy when I'm unhappy.

Most of the people who post here are not Polish people who have moved to Poland.

I meet all your criteria but one - "enjoying living here".
Maybe it's too much to say I 'm unhappy living here, but at the same time it's far too much to say I enjoy it.
Anyway, good luck with your search.

Polish people who have moved to Britain you mean ?

I've been on here just over a year and I've got no idea who is Polish and who isn't really - apart from noimmigration, I think we all know what he is ;-)

Hi Alinka

I'd be interested in hearing your story. Do you see the bits you're not totally happy with changing any time soon ?

Yes I did mean from Poland to UK. It's quite easy to see who is Polish on here and who is non Polish :) Well for me it is anyway. :)

Poles who haven't been abroad like to know what Britain has that Poland doesn't. When asked, I simply replied, 'swine flu'. They seemed to like that answer.
