As the topic goes.... whats there in Poland which is not present/found/felt in England.

Is Poland more beautiful than England?
Is Poland more chaste than England?
Is Poland more trustworthy than England?
Is Poland more livable than England?
Or are there any other reasons?

I think, I would want to stay in Poland forever... I contemplated going to UK for work. I found a very good offer right here in my home town... and now I feel :)... I would like to visit other places.... but let my grave be in the boat :P (Lodz, Poland).

These are up the road from where I live, there are more beautiful places in the South of England too.

Lake District
Cumbria
peakdistrict.org/ - Peak District
Derbyshire Countryside

<div class="quoting">Lodz_The_Boat:

I would say so, but there are some positives and some negatives in Englands favour.

<div class="quoting">Lodz_The_Boat:

Is Poland more trustworthy than England?</div>

I think you meet unscrupulous people where ever you go, it all depends on where you decide to live and the kind of people you decide to socialise with.

<div class="quoting">Lodz_The_Boat:

Is Poland more livable than England?</div>

Again, it would depend on where you wish to live.

<div class="quoting">Lodz_The_Boat:

r are there any other reasons?</div>

I wouldn't say now is not the best time to come to the UK for work, times are not the best and thats for in all professions.

My advice would be to take the job and earn some money and a couple of years time do some travelling and see a bit of the world. Im sure others will say something different, Im quite sensible in certain matters. :)

Do Polish companies allow sebaticals? a friend of mine took a 12 month sebatical from work to go travelling, she's been with the company for about 6 years and they allowed it.

I seriously can not understand how anybody could or would prefer life in Poland to that in England. All Poland has that England does not is an abundance of grave yards!

Salisbury, Amesbury and Larkhill in Wiltshire is more beautiful than ANY Polish town, city or village put together.

Not mine. But I am still to complete a substantial amount of time here.

My company however does allow paid leaves... that is... I have to earn these leaves :) ... by hours+hours+hours... and then I have a good amount of time.

I however have confidence on my degree.... after I get some money... and if they stop me... I am ready to leave them. In any condition I am planning to have my own business :) ...

I hope to learn Hindi and I am already learning Korean. I think these two places have high potential. I like their history and culture aswell. And ... I guess I can use my time wisely (in work) while planning for my future business.

China...I was thinking about it. But, I think its better to go for Koreans, Japanese, Indians... than to China for business (OFCOURSE I will go there for travel .. ha ha).

the skiing part i can agree with but are polish public transport services really reliable??? I've often found myself waiting for a bus in Pol that never shows and if it does it is packed full of sweaty ppl.

I lived in London for a year and the public transport systems are second to none.

Szarlotka, where in UK are you from? If from the middle of nowhere then you can expect to thave a ****** transport service. Have you ever tried to catch the bus in Poland 'na wsi'?

There are equally nicer scenic places in Poland... which caters to various different tastes. We are also a bigger country.

There are more than just scenic places in Wiltshire. You can also watch Tornado warplanes ripping through the skies as there is an RAF base in Wiltshire. Air shows are also frequently held.

I've had a go at this maze in Salisbury.. I got lost!

Yep I am.

I didn't mention buses just trains. Maybe I was lucky but the trains I caught from Warsaw to Katowice, Krakow and Lodz all ran on time. Unlike this week when it took me 4 hours to get home when we had a mad bugger with a ball bearing gun nr Rugby.

coming from Pole, that's beyond laughable.

About 500,000 (give or take a few 100k) seem to have left "wonderful" Poland and emigrated to the UK. Surely you must be aware of the reasons why they like England more.

Nothing wrong with being proud of one's country but writing pseudo romanticised prose about the alleged "thrills" of a post communist country is pretty futile.

Not really. Look at Poland and you see a battered ex-communist country full of nasty old women. But look closer and you will see a battered ex-communist country full of nasty bitter old women. Look closer still however and you can see the remains of Poland's history and past glories. There are beautiful old cities and traditions kept alive by the local people for their own sake - not just by some nutters who have an axe to grind about other countries.

Poland has lots of idiotic bureaucracy DVLA levels of incompetence across the board, Personally I think the Polish countryside is dull and boring well wielkopolskie anyway. Its so flat and really isn't that pretty. In my opinion Polish cities are much prettier than ones in the UK as we don't tend to have the old ryneks in britain although the communist filing cabinet style housing is truly awful but then I suppose there are council estates in the UK too.

You have no idea what dull and boring means. In Manitoba the land is so flat and empty that if you throw a rock at a dog and you can see it running away for 3 days.
