Polish students have been performing so well at UK universities that their recruitment services have begun to scout for candidates from Poland.

More here.

So, for those of you questioning why the PL are UK bound, here's a good example of why. It's called hard work and determination for a better future.

Agree with you 100%. Add to that a better pre-degree education system.

Read the link. Agree with you.

I also think the mixing of cultures is a fine thing too.

Poles have an average IQ of 103 while English have 101.Anyway the IQ of the two folks is close,so there is no reason that british students should get better grades than polish ones.Except one case.If the Poles who decide to study in UK are the ones who fail in the competitive polish exams for university entrance. In this case students who can afford to study in England represent a kind of new elite middle class descendants and not something special intellectually.(like the Asians for example).

This is one of the reasons that I stay in Poland now, to bring up my daughter in the Polish education system.

It is also because getting in to a British university is so much easier than back home in Poland where the selection process is so very competitive. Also, it is quite cheap here, £1000 per year tuition fees all on borrowed money-it can not be at all bad.

I have always imagined that the education in Wales to be quite good, at least, if not better than over the border in England.

The Welsh education system was run the same as that of the English.
It may be slightly different under the Welsh Assembly, but that does not have that many powers.
Scottish education is different.

The reason they come here is that in Poland if you fail to get in to their universities you have two years National Service awaiting you! They, the poles, are not totally silly!

Who says I am an expert? Of what? You go on about your Polish education, not me. Although, it is true to say, that I have seen Poland from first hand experience on a very good deep personal level. I do not know the country so well today, in fact I certainly do not want to know the flaming country as it is today. I know what I see in this country with my own eyes if that counts for anything. Wystarczy?

yeah sure, especialy that this would be my second post here and the previous one wasnt about education. Ok I'm fed up with trying to put up any sort of discussion over here if you're not even able to read the forums and see who's making the threads.

No, I have not got the time to read through miles and miles of former discussions. I normally only read the very first and the very last one

Read the first page of a book, then the last page and it makes you an expert.

You dirty, arrogant polish have it better than the british as you use the old sob story..." in my home country we have no money or jobs... I have come here for a better life!" boo bloody hoo.

You haven't read the first post. It said:

which means: in UK we have few brains to take advantage of the education we offer. Your post seems to confirm it.

That's correct and anyone with a degree wishing to study a further degree will have to pay the full wack!( being introduced soon)...i.e. what a foreign (none EU member) has to pay...which is up to £9K dependent on course...
