Polish driver dies as car shears in half...

It's not as if British drivers are a lot better:
I totally ripped some Polish guy this morning, he over took me on a straight when there was no where to go in a fcuking Passat. I missed my turn to keep racing this guy and waited for the right time, he was in front of me and a truck, he pulled out to overtake the truck at the same timer i pulled out and hit the power in my 280 BHP Mercedes, i was right up his ass when he pulled in and blasted past at around 180 kmph.

He stayed with me till the next raffic lights which we were both behind another truck, i coasted slow behind this truck till a half opportunity represented itself and it did with a 600 meter window on the opposite side of the road, i accelerated 100% hit the power and pulled out there was a car coming the other way but had plenty of time to make it back in I gave the customary middle fingur salute from my right hand window to the rear and ploughed on through, the oncoming car broke and pulled over but there was no need, i was through with loads to spare.

Lukasz Grabowski, 25, was three times the legal limit at the time of the accident after downing almost three bottles of vodka with a friend. So, a bottle of vodka is the legal limit in the UK? By the way, there is no chance the car was ripped in half by that tree, it was probably done by the emergency services.

I had a bad accident too...near the Polish Czech border...on the Czech side... And I know you might not agree, but it was not my known fault. I think Poles are being stereotyped to be bad drivers. We can be excellent drivers!

RevokeNice: it was probably done by the emergency services. Seems unlikely....they would only cut open a car to attend to or remove the driver , but its been stated he was thrown clear of the vehicle , so no need to cut it...Also the front half of the vehicle is in a garden , the rear half up against the tree , why would they cut it , and then dump the front bit in a garden..? its obvious the cars front end was flung into the garden by the impact.... They reckon the car was doing almost 70 mph , trust me , thats more than fast enough to rip a car in half if you hit a tree...trees , unlike other vehicles do not absorb any of the impact , the car takes all of it...sad that somebody died , but good news he didn,t manage to kill anybody else with his stupidity....

Wel if you ask me he got exactly what he deserved for doing double the speed and been three times over the legal limit!!!! If you endanger yourself like this then you can expect to be seriously injured or as in this case killed. I don't really care that he is dead, i'm just happy he didn't take anybody innocent with him. IDIOT

Not everything, just the attitude of people here, the roads and the food, I like the way everything is so cheap and i also like the weather. I havent got any choice in where i live my job dictates i live here :(

BritishEmpire: I know this might upset a few people but i have no sympathy for that driver, very sad for the family though Especially the parents of this person, they must be devastated at the fact their son has died at such an early age. I am suprised that his friends did not try harder to really stop him, but then what do you say to a 26 year old "that they don't already know". Very sad.

We can be excellent drivers! you want a sterotype? heres one: Poles are like ovedrgrown teenagers who have just gotten their driving licenses. Seruiously, thats the best way to describe the way people drive here. Even adult Poles drive like they have taken daddy's car out for a spin and are trying to impress Suzie Q Hotpants. No manners, agressive, and irritating with their honking. And they will park anywhere they please. LOL

I have been in the Netherlands for the past week: nearly all the ppl who were stopped with too much alcohol in their cars were Poles. I personally think that if you are drunk driving and cause an accident in which somebody gets killed, you are nothing but a murderer and should be punished likewise with 20 years of prison or something. No excuse, no mitigating circumstances: when you're drunk your car can turn into a murder-weapon and everybody knows that. If you still do it and someone innocent gets killed along the way, you will wail in jail for a long time, as far as I'm concerned. M-G (vengeful)

Since i've been driving around poland i have seen some crashes in some truly idiotic places, Theres shrines to people who have died on a straight bit of road etc, Most of the drivers think that indicators are an optional extra and only overtake when theres traffic coming the other way, British drivers are the best in europe and our roads are among the safest, Think about it how many successful motorsport drivers have come from Poland? from the UK we have hundreds of motorsport legends in rallying, formula 1, touring cars, etc Anyway back on topic, No sympathy for the guy who died, it was his own fault and there is no excuse whatsoever for drink driving.

I am not out of place in saying this, however, everyone in Poland knows that there is a hugh problem with drinkdriving. It is the norm and was very common, I don't know about now, but before you could bribe your way around the police, if you were caught. It may well have changed.

Just to set the record straight. The uk has a very high standard of driving which is made clear by the low level of deaths that occur on our roads, between 2001 and 2006 there were only 3 countries in the EU that had lower fatalities which were sweden, netherlands and malta. On the other hand poland has one of the highest deaths from road accidents in the EU which puts them in 5th place with countries like latvia and lithuania. Infact the figures are nearly 3 times higher than the uk!

Harry: What has drinking alcohol while on a long drive got to do with drink driving? Everything, Harry. You are not supposed to consume alcohol at all when driving a vehicle of all sorts. It wasn't until shortly I learned that you're not even allowed to ride a bicycle when you are drunk. At least in the Netherlands, that is. I don't know what Polish legislation says about this. And no, you are not supposed to drink alcohol during breaks while driving. Alcohol takes up to 8 hrs to disappear from your system and even one pint can hamper your judgement and speed of reacting. But maybe that's just me. I always get very angry about drinking alcohol when driving or driving after you consumed alcohol. And don't think that it's ok to go out driving tomorrow afternoon when you will be drinking a lot tonight. The alcohol will still be in your system and even though you didn't drink on the day itself, if the police stop you and do an alcohol test, the levels of alcohol will still be too high in your blood. Like a friend of mine found out. Concluding: I am firmly against drinking alcohol at all when driving a car. I can live with riding a bicycle when drunk (after all, I did so myself many times), but any motorized vehicle is a massive no-no after drinking alcohol. And besides, I still think you're a murderer when you drink-drive and cause an accident that kills somebody else. Unfortunately also from experience. M-G (never drinks and drives)
