Two extremes, no immi telling us that these poles should be hung and Puzzler who could probably come up with an excuse why these ppl from his homeland did this. It would culminate in him telling us there is not enough evidence and the newspapers cant PROVE IT

What annoys me about thes cases is that the names of the accused are circulated BEFORE they are found guilty whereas the victim is protected by anonimity. Even if the guy is found innocent (it's possible) his name is already linked to a sex trial.

Yes I am surprised the DM haven't jumped all over this one...give them time though... So these guys were handed in I feel. They were in court yesterday and have been charged with attempted murder and rape.

Things such as this are news for about a day, if that, and there rarely seems to be much in the way of follow-up to see what happened next and if someone was caught. The news agenda in this country never ceases to amaze me, which is why I stopped buying newspapers regularly about 18 months ago. When the latest on Jade getting married is shown as "breaking news" on news websites such as Sky, then I think it is safe to say that anything really important isn't going to get mentioned.

It's not her protection I am complaining against, it is the general policy of allowing the accused's name to be circulated. I recall several cases of people being found not guilty only after their names had been dragged through the mud. In some cases even their addresses were made public. In all probability these guys are guilty, however, until they are found guilty their names should be witheld.

I understand what you are saying but in cases like this especially those names would have got out anyway so it's probably better to publicly announce the names rather than having people rely on "rumour".

PolskaDoll: They have been charged santosh, with rape and attempted murder. And I note neither of them is named as "Prawo Jazdy" maybe they checked their passports instead....:-)

She had the stuff sprayed in her face in the subway under the Western Approach Road, the subway that leads from the Fountainpark complex. Then the second part took place further along the path that leads to Dalry Road (the path comes out just at the bridge that carries the Western Approach Road over Dalry Road). Almost across the street from the exit of the path is Dalry Primary School. When did you live here?

Matyjasz: 7 hours.... poor girl. :( I know. It's unimaginable. I can't see how she'll ever recover from it. I suppose there is a slight positive in that they caught the guys. I hope she was instrumental in their arrest.
