I just had a good idea. Seeing as though electronics (especially mac laptops) are more expensive in Poland than they are in the UK would it be a good idea for me to take something over to sell on allegro?

If so, then what?

Nope I simply live on the money I sold it for making sure the profit margin is spent on piwa.

I was thinking more of high value electronics.

I'm not sure get it...

I thought most Polish people find English food bland and boring.

There is a market. You just have to break into it.

Yeah, he'd be fair game I reckon. Gotta at least float an idea, test the water and see which way the wind is blowing.

Interesting...

I'm thinking less about starting off a business and more about making a little bit of cash on the side on my next trip.

Thanks though.

Cheese n pickle sandwiches, there you go. Branston pickle is legendary. Salad cream would be welcome too. Colmans Mustard. The Poles are strong when it comes to mustard but even a quality firm here (Roleski) copies Colmans.

A good selection of a quality product... easy to transport... and/or post on delivery.

Precisely. You know, I've scouted around for top mustards and have found some here. The Poles excel in value for money mustards. Some would say that real French Dijon is better but it's pricey as hell here. Kamis and virtually all others represent great value for money.

If I had the option of buying Colmans, you can bet your bottom dollar I would. Heinz Salad Cream is also a welcome change from mayo (tho I love Hellmans and Kielecki).

I can only take that to mean that you think it is a good idea to do what I proposed.

iPod's is a good idea always an easy thing to sell on.

My logic is that electronics are generally more expensive for Poles to buy hence why they like to buy things in the UK (with the UK wages) and take them back when they leave, surely I could do the same with something like a laptop and make a small profit?

the laptop i bought in the uk was around £150 more expensive in poland, which shocked me a little.so possibly some profit, even if it just pays for your trip (as long as you have a buyer) don`t forget fags as well (again limited amount)
