Once upon a time a Polish boy moved to the United States and overstayed by years. During his last year in the states he fell in love with a girl. The couple decided to move to Poland. Now the girl has overstayed in Poland by 2 months. She has no stamp or visas on her passport, They both want to leave Poland and make a life in another country and get married, How the heck are they going to do that? The boy cant go to the States and the girl will most likely not be able to enter Poland once she leaves.(?) .. ANy advice?

If she's in Poland unbeknownst to the powers that be, why can't she leave and then apply in the correct manner from outside of Poland?
Or is it not possible to get married and for you to go to the US as the husband of a US citizen?
Or how about you both go to Bolivia, continue to rob banks, then go out in a blaze of glory surrounded by Bolivian troops?

So if she leaves, will she be let back in the country?

I wonder that too?

If the authorities don't know she is staying without proper papers. She should leave Poland and get the proper papers, then she can go back to Poland.

If you get married to a Polish man I guess you have the right to stay in Poland forever if you want to.
But you should only get married if you really love him, and wants to be with him for the rest of your life.

South America is too hot, though Spanish is easier to learn;)
Ahh paperwork so much of it.
Just curious how that works with no stamp from Poland on the passport. I have one from Germany on it. A job told me they were going to get me a visa.. but now I found out that's not going to happen. If I didn't love this man I wouldn't be in Poland. It would take a miracle if the states allowed him back in. It will take a miracle to get married in Poland due to financial obligation in the states. Yay school loans.
I wonder about Norway or Canada?

kendriannna,
Since he overstayed his US visa, he will most likely never be allowed back into that country with his polish passport. If he really wants to get back in to the states, tell him to go to canada (no visa required) and illegally cross the border into the US from Manitoba/Saskatchewan (unpatrolled border, self-serve border crossings). You can pick him up in northern Montana, N. Dakota, or Minneapolis. But don't get caught, he will be deported and you will be jailed:)
Or if that is too risky, tell him to immigrate to canada (good luck though - canada only wants illiterate/uneducated visible minorities), get his permanent residence and travel to the US.

the longer she overstays her visa, the more likely she will be deported and banned from poland.

illegally cross the border into the US

Thats either going to get you shot or in jail or at best living the life of an illegal immigrant in USA. Terrible advice. You shouldn't be concerned with your Polish situation as much as the Shengen zone. You have overstayed your Shengen visa not Polish. The best thing you can do is get a new passport and say the old one was lost. That might work for you. But truthfully after all I went through to get my permission to stay I have absolutely no pity or compassion for you. You should have dealt with the situation before it happened. But we all make mistakes. Getting married in Poland won't solve your problem as they will want to see your registration and permission to stay. The other option is to come clean and pay the fine but you probably don't want to do that...

We're not trying to go back to the states. Why would we leave if we wanted to stay?
I work for a school who screwed me over, stating they'd get me a visa, well, that's not going to happen. So yeah I got screwed and that's why I don't have a visa.
So lets say I do the right thing and leave, will i get a stamp on my passport?

You cannot just say you lost your passport, because all information is computerized.

Here's a way to stay in Poland for free. Go to any major railway station and take your clothes off. Certain gentlemen, both wearing blue clothing, may ask you what you are doing. Tell them you're pope JP2, or the Buddha or the Messiah etc, and let the system take over from there. It works every time.

Contact a lawyer that deals in immigration cases. Tell him the facts, especially the part where you were teaching at the school and your visa situation. This will be expensive but you should get all the facts, lawyers there are 3X what they are here in the States, believe me.
Good Luck.
