I don't dislike Americans, but some of them have serious issues. I find their whole artficial and self-glorification culture to be gross.

I was banned and told it was for a certain behavior...'insulting' people...a behavior Poles and those who hate yanks exhibit every day and are never even questioned by the masses or admins. The few Americans who actually buy into the manufactured guilt people like Matowy would heap on us by agreeing with the topic of this thread are morons. Most of us don't think that way about our country regardless of what you claim. But if we claim we don't care what others say and that we like our country you just say we are arrogant blah blah...you have a way to turn everything negative. America has appointed itself the worlds policeman and Americans think that many people in the world don't appreciate all of their hard work. True but that free security provided has stabilized markets over the years since the end of WWII. Euros no longers are intent on cutting their own throats as much. This banking colapse is our fault (wall street's actually) but a lot of the prosperity over the years and steady growth of the EU and Asia is in part thanks to us.

Ironside: Why Americans think that nobody likes them well there are a few reasons imo. 1. America has appointed itself the worlds policeman and Americans think that many people in the world don't appreciate all of their hard work. 2. When you grow up in America you are taught that America is #1 and anyone that doesn't believe that must be against America. 3. The mentality is generally one side of the other. dem or repub, either you are with me or you are against me. The middle ground doesn't exist much in the general mentality of the public and therefore if someone is critical of America than it is assumed they are against it or doesn't like it. 4. Because it is true. Many people in the world are feeling that they are tired of America and its oppressive regime and the false confidence of its people. After the WW's people in much of the world loved America and what it stood for but the recent past has erased much of that feeling. 5. The government and media doesn't necessarily represent the people. People are people and most Americans are good people just as people are everywhere. Unfortunately, they tend to be manipulated by the media/govt/big business into supporting unnecessary wars which only benefit the rich class (govt contractors) and get left with the payment to bail out big business. IMO people don't really hate Americans as much as they think they are generally less educated/cultured and not sufficiently aware of the rest of the world.

There are recent political campaigns that sought to instill that belief in us through the media. It was used as a kind of "peer pressure" tactic to win a select demographic group to a particular party. Most adults are immune to this tactic but some young people are still suseptible. Females particularly. We do understand that different cultures, nations, etc, view what we do through different metrics. That doesn't change the necessity of our policy to us. We realize that the leaders of other countries find it useful to demonize us. When people find displeasure with their own leaders/rulers their leaders quickly blame the U.S. and it seems to buy them time to smooth things over. (We are the monster under the worlds bed you know!) Think Iceland. In conclusion, Americans for the most part are Individualists. It isn't that important to most if you like us or not. Hell, Its not that important to us if we like each other! America is an individual nation, same applies. We would prefer to get along with everyone, but, thats not realistic is it?
