Sledz, Did they have a buffet there as well? I'm trying to remember the name of the restaurant that we visited the last time we were in Chicago?

Its a quiet little place, I`d say maybe 80 person capacity.
The food was fantastic the people were very friendly.
I didnt see any sort of buffet table, I believe everything is made to order.
3744 N Milwaukee ave. (773) 736-1186

I would most definitely go back.....

Yes, the name throws you off, but it's 100 % pure Polish.
Same as "Wally's Deli" which is a Polish store.

Just last week I was in Chicago and found this polish deli called Andy's, somewhere _ ok, here is the site andysdeli.com/shop/contact_us.php wouldn't suggest to eat there (as it is just deli), but to take out as much as you can: everything they cook there is just delicious, I bought so much food couldn't fit it in my trunk, well, it's going to feel good to open the fridge for another 3-4 weeks.

Nope....I keep telling my mom we should start a deli. SOOO many people want to try Polish food, and my mom bakes and cooks sometimes for her company picnincs, and the people love it and take some home to their families. Everyone's always begging us to make them something

It could work out.....people would love the food

Well we have Ubarniak Bros.

They are a German store that sell some Polish meats, people love the place. But we need a friggin bakery. We can make some nice cakes. (Bab-key, Pone-ch-key, etc.)

I can't spell, so I sounded them out

As far as I know, everything is made there. They make great sledz, and their sausages are fantastic. They also supply a resteraunt, whose name escapes me, with food. A friend of mine swears on their czanina ( sic ) ( duck's blood soup ).

Actually, Erie,PA used to be almost all Polish and Italian along with many Irish. We built the Erie Canal

The Polish traditions and flavors can be seen all around the city. Many people know of the meats, and love the food. Many priests are also Polish. There is a very nice church that is completely Polish. It has paintings of Polish saints, kings, and important people. Their stain-glass windows even have Polish writings.
They even have a copy of "The Black Madonna" (Madona? Maddona?)

It's a lovely place, was there for confession yesterday

Yeah I get every name confused. So many to remember, and nowhere to practice my Polish but home.

I would love to open up a Polish Deli right down on Peach Street (biggest street in Erie) and put up posters and flyers so all could see
