I live in an area where there are many Polish people. Polish stores, new ones opening too. When I was a child my family lived in Cleveland. The small store I go to has a young girl who speaks polish also and she says her friends send their kids to school to learn polish. I have an aunt who is taking classes to learn better polish also.

For a moment I had to check this wasn't on the food forum. I thought it might have been the start of one of those ever-so-controversial threads where someone claims that someone else might know more about cured meat products than the Poles.

I thought Parma was in Italy. Got any cheese there in Parma? Parmesan for example.

FYI Parma and Parma Heights,OH, Stevens Point, Pułaski and Polonia WI, Posen, Parisville and Hamtramck, MI, as well as Chicopee, MA are among the localities widely known as heavily or predominantly Polish. Polish America is far more than just Chicago or Brooklyn's Greenpoint!

My fiance and her family are in the parma area too. We are currently trying to find some work for my father in law and have been having some trouble... Anyone in the parma area know of any work available where there are some other polish speaking workers?? (welding, labor, handy work, anything really?)

thanks!
