Looking for Polish people in Peoria, Illinois.

Are there any Polish people in Peoria? I might be moving to the area to be with the man I've been dating for almost two years now (we're both very serious about it) and am wondering if there are any Poles that I could talk to during my stay. I fear that I'll be very homesick otherwise.

Well youre only 40 miles or so away from Chicago, just a short drive and you can find all the Polish stores, restaurants,clubs..etc

sledz, Peoria is about 160 miles away from Chicago ;) at least according to this map right here. so a "short drive" for Magda means about 3 hours without traffic.

Oh my! I know that Peoria is no Chicago but I really hoped to make some Polish friends there. I've been to Peoria three times so far so I know what to expect. :-P

Did you find any Polish friends?
We have moved to Peoria area early this year and I haven't met any polish speaking folks yet.
