Mrs Henryka Pietrzak-Varga has written to Preisdent-elect Obama recently fequesting the full clarification of the crime in which her son Jan Paweł Pietrzak, and his Afro-American bride, were tortured and brutally murdered in their California home by four Afro marines.

how ridiculous. do you have any idea how many people are murdered every day in the USA? this isnt even on obamas list of things to do. the marines said it was simply for the money nothing to do with racism

Too many are murdered; this fact should not be accepted nonchalantly.

This better be on Obama's list of things to do. He can "talk the talk" now is the time for him to "walk the walk".

To believe that he needs a letter to remind him of the problem is to be out of touch; Chicago is plagued with murders.

It's just a letter... probably one of thousands Obama has received recently.

However, if this letter plants the seeds of change and brings about something good... then why the fuss.

Besides this, I would imagine Mrs Pietrzak-Varga has a greater need to understand her son's murder than the rest of us. Wouldn't you do all that it takes, if you were in her position ?

All this is just BS!!! Obama won’t fix any thing and while doing the walking part, after the first step he will probably trip!!! And US Marines like to lie to the media; the crimes will go up in the US until the economy goes back on track!!

well, actually it happened on bushes watch so he should be the one to make sure these men get what they deserve to the fullest extent of the law and that could include death penalty, I believe california still has this.

maybe writing to obama might help who knows. with his parents being from two seperate races , I am pretty sure growing up he might have had to endure racial slurs as well..

but as said above it was about money, I dont know why four able marines would want to steal one mans money though, sounds like the stupidest criminals ever, because how much money does this one man have? does he own a bank roll or something? was his CD player much better? were they going to split it four ways and go buy some candy from the penny store?

it was motivated by more then money for sure.

Honestly, what is writing a letter to the president elect going to do? People get robbed, raped, beat up and killed everyday. I agree that contacting the governor as stated previously is a more reasonable way to go about this situation though. Talking to a Police Commissioner or some other highly ranked police authority would most likely be even more effective. The letter to Obama will get this "Polish woman" nowhere regardless of what ethnicity she married into.
