Through the looking glass... Polish views on moving abroad (Canada)

I've come to Poland from Canada for med school, but it is not my first time in Poland as my wife is Polish and we have traveled the country many times.

I truly love Poland, and feel it has a lot to offer that Canada does not. But actually living in one city for an extended period of time, and having to deal with real life issues (rather than having family members taking care of you) allows you to experience "real poland" vs. "tourist poland"

And of course there are many positives (great public transport, amazing history, Zurek...) and many negatives (awful customer service, bureaucracy, lack of wilderness areas).

My question is this, especially for those Poles who have been to, or lived in Canada - how do you feel about The Great White North?

Seeing as I wont be home for many years now, and have started to think of Poland as my new home, I'm curious to know how Polish people feel when they move abroad, about the positives and negatives as THEY perceive them, to get a sense of what Polish people value most.

lack of wilderness areas

Lack of wilderness areas? Have you been to Bieszczady recently? Fair enough, nothing compared to Canada - but it's still absolutely empty, especially in winter.
