Pan Winkski:
you dont have to be a boy genius to work out you have no idea what youre talking about

You may be correct Mr Winkski but I am right on this issue, yes if I knew what I was talking about I would be a millionaire and living the good life, I would have no time being on this forum.

Since word of a EU, the price of real estate has increased in Poland and has done so till some 12 months ago, its a fact. A lot of people has cashed in and done pretty well at the expense of the Poles.

Ola is to be congratulated for making her point of view.

Mr Winkski, I sure forum members would like more imput from you as you seem to know everything, why not register and let us know who you are, overwise you may be mistaken for a troll!

Access to money has driven the market much more than foreign investment or English investment, in otherwords more polish people have the money to buy apartments. If lots of Polish people all want to buy the same apartments what does the developer do, he in creases the price -

think about it Bolek - if you had 100 bottles of water and 200 people desperately wanted to buy your water and you were a greedy bastard and your Polish government had no laws to stop you increasing the price of water to any level you please and people were so desperate to have water that they were willing to sign away 25years of their lives and monthly income to pay for that water, you would see an opportunity to make alot of money and you would charge excessively for your water.

You would you know!!!

Many foreigners were burned quite badly in Poland because they bought apartments in the more exclusive concept developments sold by other foreigners and aimed at the outside market, these highly over priced apartments have decreased in value now - which should make you very happy and many of the people are so short of cash that they will offload them for 3/4 or half of what they paid for them, which means good deals at the expense of foreigners for the Polish.

So as we say in Ireland, 'its an ill wind that does not blow somebody good'

Oh that it was so simple to really believe that the problems of increases residential prices could be blamed on foreigners -

I do however think it pleases your little heart to truly believe this, not good for you in the end of the day because the real people you should be blaming are off the hook because you and Ola refuse to deal in facts and like a drowning man just want to hold tight to your small minded opinions.

Hitler had his small minded opinions too and look what happened. he blamed the jews for all the woes of post world war Germany.

Isn't this exactly what happened in Ireland during the boom-years of the Celtic Tiger? Isn't this the reason why Ireland nowadays is one of the most expensive countries to live in? With the difference that the Irish government is even more greedier than its citizens?

Famous example: a boat full of bananas comes from Africa and docks in Dublin harbour, where it unloads half of it's cargo. Then it leaves for France where it unloads the other half of its cargo. Same bananas, same ship, same shippers etc, only a shorter trip to Ireland than to France. And in the end nobody is able to explain why the same bananas are more than twice as expensive in Ireland than in France. (Kg bananas in France: 1,50E, in Ireland 3,50E). True story.

He blamed the Jews for just about everything before WW1 too, for that matter.

Ireland is a rip off country fact and its mighty hard to live there right now.

The Irish government are totally to blame - 320,000 people in negative equity an will be till 2020, paying off their homes with job loses happening everyday, its scary times for people -

I don't think that investors should be allowed to profit massively from residential property, its a persons right to have a home, leave them make money elsewhere.

You're darn right: no pay rise and yet more taxes - literally overnight: Government announces a new tax-rise. It's not gonna start the first of the next month or as per some next month, no, it's gonna kick off at 00:00 hrs, midnight tonight. In March, I got to payslips, one before the new tax and one for the remainder of the month after the new tax.

They re elect the same party over and over - FF suck and have no plan future.

look at the lisbon treaty vote -

the policy of the government is ' vote yes' why? because we told you too.

the real damage was done many years ago and now its like holding onto a rising balloon, you are too far off the ground so if you let go now you are going to break alot bones and injure yourself, however how long can you hold on for....

I think Poland needs can learn alot from the mistakes of the Irish.

What if the Irish simply say "strike"? If everybody joins in and public life comes to a grinding halt, surely the government will at least get a notion that their politics are wrong. It's time to do so as I haven't seen a ppl anywhere that gets so f*cked over by their government and they never protest against it. If they would, things would change, I am sure. In places like France, the UK or the Netherlands this would not be pssbl. Why don't the Irish do that? They were able to curb down the power of the Catholic church this way, so why not with crummy politics?

Irish people don't care enough to take drastic action - its a trait of the nation, they constantly moan & complain and have endless debates on the TV and then re elect the same morans - We have had one dominant party who deal in the same **** since the foundation of the freestate - 1923. The population is so small that the property developers had the government in their pockets and despite advice from many many people the government believed that they could sustain the property market... boy were they wrong. Now it will be back to the old days when all the educated young people emigrate as soon as they get their degrees because there is no chance of decent work at home. sad really...

this is going to take along time to fix!!

It is sad as I have grown to like this country and love the ppl. They are good natured most of the time. Maybe that's the problem. However, I have been hearing quite a few rumours that either this month or the next one there is a general strike planned, supposed to last for a few days and is aimed to bring indeed public life to a stand-still. Let's hope these plans will become real and everybody will join in. Would like to see what happens then.

Hmmm, when people bring up this comment to win a arguement, it means they have lost the arguement.

Please, please misskend, do some research into this topic before you talk such nonsence.

You may want to substitute wodka instead of water to make you point, although it still will not work.

The issue of shortages of homes bumping up prices of homes is not the point, most poles had no money or access to funds to enter the housing market.

Finding the clitoris (page 21, not mine), hitler blaming the jews and foreigners go home... this has been an entertaining morning cup of coffee. I agree, we should all go back to where ever the **** we came from and revert nationalism and continental and global war. Everyone was better off on their own, certainly Poland, Britain, Ireland, Germany, America, France...

But keep this up, the most active thread on the forum me thinks.

Anyone know a good retail fitter/finisher in Lodz for another foreign investment out to destroy the Polish way of life, steal their women and drink all their vodka?

Most active thread? There are nearly six weeks between your post and the previous one. I wouldn't want to call that active.

This is one of the three reasons the ten accession states where rushed into the EU.

1) Stop Putins attempt at a land grab.

2) Access of your natural resources and buy up property.

3) Supply the west with cheap labour.

Racist opinions - that single out people because of their ethnic origin is considered as an act to incite racial hatred and I would like to point out that its highly illegal.

Klu klux clan, Nazis and many other obviously racist people also have their opinions however when your opinions incite racial hatred then if you want to make a valid argument then it needs to be backed up with facts. Without the facts you might look like a racist biggot. In my opinion Ola and You Bolek without the facts just appear as racist bitter biggots.

This post is promoting racial discrimation, i.e it singles out english people as the factor that is driving up property prices. Without any actual foundation in fact.

As I said the moderator on this site has responsibilities to manage the comments and ensure that blatant racists do not have a chance to air their harmful views. Someone may if this sort of activity continues decide to bring this forum to court for allowing people to incite hatred
In my opinion thats very very wrong indeed.

This culchie oaf is as ignorant of the law of its land as it is of its countries history. Free speech, baby.

You would think differently if 600 000 English suddenly turned up in your country and demanded their "rights".

Under severe duress, mo chara. As per usual. My people voted for partition of my nation under threat of immediate and terrible war. A couple of year later they were armed and fighting against said people. Fear is a terrible emotion to play with.

Tell me, except the Spaniards, who else voted for Lisbon? The french said no, as did the dutch.
