I believe my girlfriend dumped me because I dated a black women once.

Hello:

I am a Clinical Psychologist working in Philadelphia, PA. I started dating a polish woman about 3 months ago and we seemed to be getting along quite well. I few rifts hear and there but nothing serious. I informed her a few days ago just in conversation that I had dated an African-American for a while in Louisiana when I lived there 16 years ago. She dumped me almost immediately because of this. I am very dissapointed and shocked. She is 37 years old and communism ended in 1989 in Poland. I can't help but to believe that racism was either directly taught to students when she was a child, or that race relations was not allowed to be taught in schools. I am heart broken...but will recover!

I know racism is rife in Poland, men can be ignorant ,but i doubt it she dumped you because of that.

if it's the case I'm very surprised.

Did she tell you it was over, because of your past interracial dating experience? Perhaps she be using it as an excuse, for something else that may have occurred between your relationship?

everyone is different and racism is abundant in every country.

i am a dating an asian girl and my parents and their relatives have no issue with it.

it comes down to individuals and how they were raised.

What an idiotic conclusion.
There was never communism in the American South. Would you say that the area was traditionally a paradise for racial cooperation?

Even if she said so, I highly doubt. Unless she is a follower of this urban truth:
