Engagement/proposal or smth else??!

Hi again folks,
Now is it that my bf's birthday coming up and I want to give him something special. I already bought him a present and so..and have congratulate him, but the thing is that I want him to know that I want to spend the rest of my life with him, this is what I feel, regardless our problems ore ups-and downs.
A proposal ring would ofcourse be ideal and perfect, because its symbolize a future together. But he may thing I'm crazy of doing this, since we haven't been together long enough.
Is there any other way I can show him, that I want to be with him now and forever, apart from a proposal ring?? Somekind of symbolic guest?? Hand him smth else?
Ore show it to him somehow??
I can't figure out anything else than the ring, ore "car keys" (because I've a car abroad) and do know that giving him it (the keys)is a way of showing/a confirmation of being/staying together.

But any other symbolic acts??can't think of anything else:/ because there's no way, that any present in the whole world, could symbolize/or express how much I love him!

Thanks for any ideas ore help!

PS. And for those who read my earlier thread.......I may come back to the topic later;-)

and it doesnt have to be anything special!! We are already living together, so handing over appartment keys could have been another option if we werent already living together, so its out of opition:(( But anything else that symbolizes that "I'm here to stay." :)

I don't have any real life experience with engagement ;) but from what I heard/read it's a bad idea to bring the engagement stuff during somebody's brithday.

Get a naked attractive woman, put bow on her nipples and *****, then lead him into the room where she is while saying "I thought I'd get you something we can both play with. Why not unwrap your present and I'll play with it first."
