I am going to throw myself into the open here. I am looking for any useful advice when dating Russsian women. I have recently met one in Egypt and we have had a wonderful time together so far. I am not used to the culture there and any advice would be appreciated especially in regards to any past experiences.

Brave of you, I know you are a regular poster and not full of bull like some others.
I hope this thread gets treated with the respect you deserve.

I am not used to the culture there and any advice would be appreciated especially in regards to any past experiences.

Be a gentleman, open doors for her, buy her flowers, go for long walks together and find out what she is interested in.
I find most women respond well to this so long as it is not over the top.

It also depends on what you both like doing, I used to enjoy cooking and soft music and candles do wonders :)
Women appreciate when people make effort for them.
Try not to "jump her bones" too quick :)

I should refrain from giving any relationship advise as I always feel it is down to the individuals and the life they enjoy together i.e. have a laugh :)

She does like the long walks. Cooking is my forte as well as the candles and music all very good. The language barrier has actually been beneficial. One can learn much about someone without speaking a single word. And the patience of translating most everything has also shown much to the positive side. Now the question is, can Russian women move easily to Poland ? I would very much like to move from the US to Poland and live there with her?

I really don't know. She would have to apply for a visa first temparary then something more permanent. I used to do the same.

If she had a letter of employment it would work in her favour but I unfortunately do not know what is needed.

I don't know how you do it with out the language, I would need to be able to communicate on that level but different strokes for different folks I suppose, at least you won't be able to understand the mother in law if it comes to that ha ha ha ha

That is a big move and step for both of you, to move to another country.
Best of luck!

Talk is one thing ,doing is another. I will just say that if things did work out it, moving to Poland has been discussed. She has been learning English everyday and obviously is way more intelligent than I in this matter of learning. SHe also makes much more income than I , So I am open to moving more to where she can maintain her success. SHe is the sweetest woman I have ever yet to know and she does not drink vodka. I s that strange?

I would suggest you following things:

1) Look for Russian gal in Russia (Moscow and SP are preferable).
2) Look for the financially independent gal (lower risk of being cheated)
3) Pay attention for her educational background.

I say that just because being in the US I've met loads of Belorussian and Ukranian women who for the sake of simplicity said they were Russian and who perceived marriage as the easiest way to stay there. After collapse of the USSR many young women mostly from Ukraine, Belorussia and poorest areas of Russia started to look for the better life abroad. If you're looking for the really pure relationship be aware of that. :) I just don't want anybody to have bad experience with Russians or later say some like "all Russians are sluts".

and she does not drink vodka. I s that strange?

It's not. :) I'm Russian, male. I don't drink vodka, don't play balalayka, don't embrace bears in the morning. Is that strange? :))

As a polish man,you have an edge regarding russian women as you can understand the culture more or less.
Believe me,Westerners do not understand russian mentality at all.

If this is true then I am really going to like her even more if she behaves like you and in some ways you are correct. Great Though It takes her so long to get a visa 6 weeks to visit the US I don't know how I can hold out that long. My special regards to you Wyspi

You want to wait and get to know her first. Also, how old is she? Remember that women after forty turn odd somehow. Most Eastern women are greedy and want your cash and I very much doubt if she will be any different. Why was she is Egypt? She may have contacts there and she may secretly be planning a return to her true love but only with your wallet. Go to Russia, there are lots of Russian women there and they are all the same. Believe me.

At first when I read this, I thought "uh-oh" maybe the Russian girl doesnt know of the later plans to move to PL, and all she heard was US. Stereotypically Russian girls do a lot, and sometimes whatever it takes to get into the US. Greencard marriages are to say the very least. I rode on the train to work each day with a guy that met a Russian girl while there on a business trip. He of course thought the world of her, and regarded highly of her because "she demanded nothing but the best" in terms of clothes, cosmetics, etc. He mentioned how she said she'd love some face cream that cost like $300, which was nearly double what her monthly earnings were..... 2 yrs after her arrival, and gaining a green card she showed her true side.

She has been learning English everyday and obviously is way more intelligent than I in this matter of learning. SHe also makes much more income than I , So I am open to moving more to where she can maintain her success. SHe is the sweetest woman I have ever yet to know and she does not drink vodka. Your girl is very much different from most other Russian gals. Russian gals are raised to be housewives, and dont value education/career as much, because they think "why, when my man is supposed to support me." Outintheyard, seems you have an educated bright gal, making more than you considering Russia is not the norm. Is it strange that she doesn't drink vodka, lol? No, I'd say it matches with her career/goals.

Before making a decision to both move to a new land such as Poland, I'd recommend either a trip for you to her homeland, or one for her to the US. You really get to know a person once you see them in their normal surroundings.

First thank you fro reading through the thread ...unlike others. Second, She has applied for a Tourist Visa and is going to stay with me on my farm for a month. If she can handle this place , she can handle anything. She is 30 years old and I am 45 so we make a nice couple. Afterr she comes here and if she still is interested. I am going to visit her home in July. That is the tentative schedule. I must say I still remain cautious as time will tell what is to become of this.

Krakowianka, this is not true. The life in Russia is expensive, unless you're an oligarch's wife (who are in the minority of course) and at the same time want to have a family - you have to work. In its turn unless you have a high education you can't get a well-paid job. All of gals I know have high education. None of them are currently housewives (some are on maternity leave though).

What you said was fair enough for immigrants from the former USSR who have no intention to use brains since they usually use other parts of body.

Sasha, I think you've misunderstood what I meant by "housewives." I didn't mean they sit at home and wait for their husband to bring in the bacon. They do work, but work either part time, or for low wages. Their concern is the family & ensuring dinner is cooked, the home cleaned, man maintained. Not so much about education or a career as in the west. They are sort of taught to not be independent.

In my example, the guy I knew from the train that married the Russian gal... in Russia she used to live in a flat with her mom, her brother, her brothers wife and their 2 kids. The US guy offered to send her to school, to which she'd respond "this money can be better spent supporting my family". I believe its just the mentality, based on dire finances. It doesnt apply to every single girl, but to quite many.

I must say I still remain cautious as time will tell what is to become of this.

Glad to hear that you both will be able to see each others homes and test out the waters that way. Being cautious is important nevertheless.

Hi,

I can give you my experience. I was with a Russian girl for 3 years, a girl from Rostov-na-dony.

Initially when we met she was very distant and cold for the first 4 months, unsure if she wanted to be with a foreign man. Later she really warmed to me and would do anything for me but I always found that if you had a disagreement that her feelings would switch off, she would go from loving you to actually telling you that she hates you and hates that I dont understand her because she cant express her feelings like she could in Russian.

When we separated she acted like she didnt know me but at the same time would text me saying nice things, only when we would see eachother in person she would have this look in her eyes like she didnt know who I was.

There are great girls in Russia but they generally know exactly what they want. I am sure if she has a good job and is not interested in you for that reason that she will be a good lady.

Go to Russia, there are lots of Russian women there and they are all the same. Believe me.

Dear Michal, can't we say the same about Polish women in Poland? Including female members of your family and relatives?

In contrast to you, I believe that all women are different...

I just came back from 3 weeks in Russia. I ended up with a polish balet instructor. The woman I went to see did not work out, however, I met plenty of very respectable russian women. Next year the Ukraine and poland are on my list. i would encourage any one to visit Russia and the museums and tolstoys home in Tula Very nice culture there

I'm sorry to hear the woman didn't work out but that's a life. Everything happens. Yet I hope you enjoyed staying in Russia. I've never been to Tula btw. :( Got to visit it someday.

Good luck with the Polish lady!

wow, i love when i here different nationalities coming together, thats so great. My advice would be treat her like you would treat any lady, the only difference is language barrier, but the language is similar so shouldnt be hard to pronounce and understand. Anyway good luck in Egypt, beautiful place.

Wow! treat her like any other. hmmmm.. She may want to move in with me if i do that?
She is so commited to me already. She does speak english well. I want her to finish college first. The age difference may affect the relationship.

I have lots of experience with Russian Women here in Prague.

In my experience, Russian Women are probably the worst women character-wise in the world.
Mostly after money.
And very treacherous.
Don't let the beauty blind you.
Don't let the bedroom skills capture you.
For me, Russian Women are reptilian.
Cold-blooded.
And always taking, taking, taking.
And very superstitious and domineering.
And a little stupid.

Why did she come to Egypt?
What kind of work was she seeking in Egypt?
Check her passport.
Has she been to other Middle Eastern Countries?

There are many Russian Girls working in Dubai.
Can you guess what kind of work they do?

Also the divorce rate in Russia is around 70 percent.
A big danger sign.
For if dead fish are floating on a lake, should you fish in the lake?
Are you immune?

Don't believe the old stories about Russian Men being the cause.
The sexes mostly hate each other in Russia.
Lots of times the men get the blame for being alcoholics.
But if I were married to a Russian Woman, I would drink myself to death with Vodka also.

Read this:
It is all about the Russian Dating Agency Scams.

agencyscams.com

Here are some quotes from the International Encyclopedia of Sexuality.

hu-berlin.de/sexology/IES/russia.html

"Russian wives and mothers are frequently strong, dominant, and sure of themselves."

Women passionately and sorrowfully bemoan the lack of "real men," while men complain about the dying breed of women who show
feminine tenderness and affection."

Don't give her any financial information about you.
Also be aware that most Russian Girls lie about their age.

My advice to you is run, as fast as you can.

I can imagine a Russian Girl would love nothing more than to trick and use a young Polish Guy so that she could get EU Citizenship.

And then take his money and run to London or turn him into a bank machine.
