Does anybody else think the movie Defiance is a big lie?

What is so sad, is that while you sit here and write mounting arguments of blame against the jews you, are infact laying your own miserable graves.
There seems to be a real issue within your culture, You must place blame upon anyone else (the jews), but you almost none left in your country.
If jews are still your scapegoat for ALL your problems then it seems safe to say that there are major cultural and identity issues within eastern Euroopean countries.

Perhaps if you stop placing blame upon everything and everyone and begin believing in broadning the minds of your children (not just to hate) and make high paying jobs a cultural goal, you may no longer feel the need to persecute and instead enjoy your life.

As with all things in life nothing is black or white. There are always two sides to a story, both the paletinians and Israelis are at fault. I personally would choose to believe that some polish people were kind enough to protect the jews and vice versa.

No Hatred or generalisations should be made, because we are ALL humans and no all to well- that we ALL have emotions, all feel love and pain and all DIE eventually.

Even as i write this, i am fully aware that i will have changed nobody's mind but i have given a peice of my own and thats all that anyone can ask.

thats what they good at,shooting people in the back or getting some one else to do the dirty work check out their history.never trust a jew cos any chance he gets he will stab you in the back.

No its not a lie. Defiance is an entertainment not a factual documentary. Based on a "true story or true events" doesn't mean based the whole story or on all the facts and if anyone can't tell the difference they must be really intellectually challenged.

You mean that a Jew would stab you personally in the back. But that's just a normal human reaction to meeting you: you are a pathetic contemptable individual. I'd probably stab you in the back too; unless you were facing me of course, then I'd stab you in the front.

This Harry is an awful person. I'm reading this forum from some time and I must say that everywhere I go he's insulting people. Why isn't he banned? I find it sad that people like Harry come to Poland. We don't need such hateful persons here. I can not understand why some Jews like Harry are acting like this.

As for "Defiance" and Naliboki massacre, you can watch a reportage on TVN Uwaga site (unfortunately in Polish only) "Krew płynęła ulicami". Reporters are talking with old people whose witnessed this tragedy as a children (they were in the village when soviets and Bielski's partisants came).

So for the sake of survival, Jewish partisans had to go it alone and they were opposed and sometimes betrayed by AK partisans. The Soviets usually supported the Jewish partisans and for the sake of survival jews accepted that support.

Many Poles helped Jews; many could not for fear for their (own) lives. It would be interesting how many here would behave under war conditions that existed in Poland.

As to Jews accepting Soviet support, I'm afraid that this was a condition even prior to the war. What was that percentage of communist Jews again? (I understand it's a touchy subject but deal with it).

I would also add that there were some Jews who considered themselves Polish as well.

What ius dishonest? Films like Defiance are simply entertainment. Can't people distinguish between entertainment and factual documentaries anymore?? Do entertainment films need to display big 'not true' warnings now just in case gullible morons believe them to be factual??

I believe they count on a certain number of viewers believing the crap they peddle is real.

I haven't seen Defiance since after all I have been reading here I won't see it specially after ive heard that it had low score in USA.

A little tip in 1939 it was some 120.000 Jews serving in the Polish Army. (Kinda hard to generalize after that info)
