I am staying with my pen pal in Poland in July. I want to send her family some gifts before I come (not sure that I can take them on the plane) . She has a husband and 2 kids.

What do people in Poland like from the USA?

Any gift ideas???? unique from USA?

It's hard to advice. We have almost everything available in Poland.

I was wondering the same when I go.., but my father in-law took back to Poland the following:
JEWELRY, expensive clothes, art work, beauty products (collagen?-women love the age products perfume/cologne), toys: barbies, beautiful dresses.., oh, and they love our wine and non perishable delicacies, chocolates etc.) It was a very big, heavy box. He brought gifts back to everyone. Our Polish aunt, (from Montreal) just returned and gave everyone $500.00? I would love to hear more feed back. Come on what would you like from US?

It depends on the recipients' interests -- possibly something typcially American like a Statue of Liberty souvenir or American blended whisky not availabnle in Poland. For the kids -- toy American make cars (not widely known in Poland) or Amerindian stuff (books, souvenirs, etc.).

What Gifts to bring for Host

My husband and I will be visiting family in Szczecin in September. Have not seen my cousin since she stayed with my parents in California for several weeks back in the late 70's. I would like to bring her and her sisters an appropriate gift from the U.S. but have no idea what that would be. Any help would be appreciated.

They'll be absolutely over the moon with a couple of Ralph Lauren T-shirts.

Yes, go to Marshall's or TJ Max and buy some Polo stuff.

Clothes are crap in Poland and if quality, expensive.

Yeah that's not a half crazy business idea. There's a Polo outlet in Michigan City too.
